13 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Lincoln Hayes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pelle Paniikki! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hayes lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Hayes scoring well with a low kick there.
Paniikki misses with a takedown attempt and Hayes counters by clinching up. Hayes lands a body punch in the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hayes. Hayes pushes Paniikki back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Hayes working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Hayes throws a punch but it's blocked by Paniikki. Paniikki decides to pull guard. Paniikki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hayes gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Paniikki throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Hayes escapes and throws Paniikki's legs to the side, diving into side control! Paniikki is trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paniikki looking for a sweep but Hayes has passed into full mount! Oh no! Hayes prevents Paniikki from getting the reversal. Paniikki is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Paniikki regains half guard. Paniikki tries to get to full guard but Hayes has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hayes trying to control the pace. Paniikki looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Paniikki looking for a kimura from the bottom but Hayes passes into side control! Paniikki gets back to half guard. Hayes content to control rather than advance.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hayes wants to control but Paniikki is keeping him busy. That was a close round but I would say that Lincoln Hayes will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Hayes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Paniikki. Hayes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Paniikki sees it coming and avoids it easily. Hayes throws a leg kick which misses Paniikki's front leg but catches the back leg as Paniikki tries to avoid it. Paniikki throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hayes was covering up waiting for the punch and Paniikki finishes the takedown easily into guard. Paniikki wants to pass the guard but Hayes is keeping the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Paniikki looking to pass the guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Paniikki is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Paniikki stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hayes swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Lincoln Hayes. Hayes lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Paniikki misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Paniikki with a poor takedown and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayes slaps away a takedown attempt from Paniikki, before circling back to the center of the mat. Lincoln Hayes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pelle Paniikki. Hayes lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Hayes lands with a hook. Paniikki tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Paniikki's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hayes connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Paniikki scrambles back to his feet. Paniikki slips a jab from Hayes. Paniikki misses with a takedown attempt enabling Hayes to counter with a crisp jab. Paniikki will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Hayes lands with an uppercut that bounces Paniikki off the cage and back into range. Hayes throws the left hand but Paniikki avoids the punch easily. Paniikki with a lazy takedown attempt and Hayes counters with a low kick, right behind Paniikki 's knee. Paniikki is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Paniikki shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Hayes counters with a stiff right hand. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nice uppercut there from Hayes.
Paniikki is rocked! Hayes misses with an uppercut. Paniikki saw that one coming. Paniikki is still on wobbly legs! Can Hayes finish him? Hayes rushes Paniikki and presses him up against the cage. Hayes lands a shot to the body. Hayes lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Paniikki blocks an uppercut.
Hayes lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Paniikki. Hayes lands a hook that snaps the head of Paniikki backwards. A shot in the inside from Hayes. Hayes dips a shoulder and cracks Paniikki with a mighty uppercut! Paniikki falls back against the cage and Hayes unloads with a barrage of strikes! Paniikki is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Hayes screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

16 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Samoa Joe! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Johanna Lukiainen and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bell thuds his right hand into Joe's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
It looks like Samoa Joe has been cut. Bell moves out of range as Joe strikes. A good leg kick by Bell. Bell misses with a body kick. Joe throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Joe misses with a hook. Joe throws a looping overhand right but Bell ducks down to avoid it. Bell keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Joe. Joe scores with a takedown into Bell's guard. Joe content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Joe scoring with some ground and pound. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bell wants to stand and escape but Joe is having none of it. Bell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Joe working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Joe postures up in Bell's guard and throws a big left but Bell blocks it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bell working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Joe. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Joe wants to control from the top but Bell keeps moving. Joe is looking to work some ground and pound but Bell has wrist control. Bell pushes Joe off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Bell looks to throw the jab but Joe is out of range. Joe loads up on a big right hand but Bell slips the punch. Bell thows a leg kick but Joe checks it and Joe counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Joe Bell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bell keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Joe slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Joe paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Joe keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Oh Bell is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Joe slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bell keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Joe. Bell is looking to score with low kicks. A low kick from Bell is predictable there and Joe counters with a huge left! Bell is in big trouble! He's backing up but Joe isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Bell from any more damage. A dominating finish by Joe!

McCann lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. McCann looks to throw the jab but Sugarol is out of range. Donk. McCann catches Sugarol right on the button with a cross. Nice defenses there by McCann. McCann tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sugarol paws at him with a jab and circles away. McCann keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sugarol. McCann plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! McCann throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. McCann throws a head kick that misses and Sugarol counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Sugarol looks to land a left hand but McCann moved out of range nicely.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McCann connects with a leg kick. Sugarol looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. McCann throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. McCann moves away from the strike by Sugarol. McCann throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sugarol. McCann throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

McCann uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sugarol. McCann is looking to clinch but Sugarol is avoiding it.

McCann moves to clinch but Sugarol breaks away and Sugarol counters with a left hand that sends McCann to the canvas! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sammy Sugarol dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Sugarol fakes high and swings low for a body shot but McCann manages to avoid it. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by McCann.

McCann throws a sloppy head kick and Sugarol moves out of range easily. McCann wants to slow Sugarol down by chopping away at his legs. Sugarol misses with a hook. McCann ducked under it nicely. McCann staying out of range there. McCann has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from McCann there as he acknowledges the shot. Sugarol blocks a leg kick.

Oh McCann is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! McCann fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Sugarol checks it well. McCann throws a leg kick but Sugarol checks it. McCann seems to have got his legs back now. Sugarol scores with a nice head shot. Sugarol might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McCann lands with a shot to the body. An inside leg kick lands from McCann. Sugarol moves out of range of the body kick from McCann.

Sugarol looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. McCann throws a sloppy head kick and Sugarol moves out of range easily. McCann throws a head kick that Sugarol semi-blocks.
Sugarol tests McCann's chin there with a solid looking shot. Sugarol is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops McCann like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving McCann from another fist facial!

Tatsuki misses with a low kick. Montana blocks a low kick nicely. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tatsuki. Montana misses with a looping left. Montana looks to throw a body kick and Tatsuki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Tatsuki connects with a jab. Tatsuki defending well as Montana loads up on a big left hand. Montana gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Mayuri Tatsuki dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Montana tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Tatsuki was well out of range. Poor timing from Montana. Tatsuki staying out of range there. Tatsuki throws a hook to the side of Montana's head but Montana sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Montana lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Tatsuki throws a leg kick that misses. Montana looks to land a left hand but Tatsuki moved out of range nicely. Tatsuki throws a lazy uppercut
and Montana counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Tatsuki slips under a jab from Montana. Tatsuki misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Montana cracks Tatsuki with a good jab. Montana on the wrong end of a nice hook. Montana comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Montana uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Tatsuki. Tatsuki looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Montana wants to control but Tatsuki is keeping busy and won't allow it. Montana keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Montana is looking to get back to full guard here but Tatsuki has managed to pass to side control instead. Montana tries to bench press Tatsuki off him but Tatsuki keeps the position. Tatsuki is trying to get an arm triangle but Montana is defending well. Montana can't do much from the bottom here. Mayuri Tatsuki has got the better of the ground game so far. Montana is trying to get back to half guard. Tatsuki working away.

The referee will try and keep them active though. Tatsuki has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Montana is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Tatsuki yanks on the arm and Montana is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Tatsuki.

11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bojan Jelusic! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jelusic avoids it really well and circles away. Jelusic scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Jelusic connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Green misses with a straight right. Jelusic goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Green moves out of range as Jelusic strikes. Green swings for the body but Jelusic moves out of range.
Jelusic connects with a right hand. Green shakes it off.
Green is rocked! Green looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Oh Green is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! This has been an exciting period of action! Jelusic throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Jelusic lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Green seems to have got his legs back now. Jelusic blocks the body kick.

Jelusic tries to get to full guard but Green has control of the leg. Jelusic pushes Green off looking to stand but Green dives back in and keeps control.

He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jelusic's guard. Jelusic keeping full guard, as Green tries to pass. Green working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jelusic's head. Green with a flurry of punches that miss. Green thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Green trying to control but Jelusic is working from the bottom.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Jelusic is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Green takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jelusic wants to get back to full guard. Green has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Green looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Jelusic wants to get back to full guard. Green sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jelusic defending well though. Jelusic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Green. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Green content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Jelusic is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Jelusic wants to control but Green is keeping him busy.

Green bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Jelusic's guard. Jelusic is trying to control the position but Green postures up. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Green lands a couple of decent looking shots. Green throwing strikes but missing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Green tries to free his leg and advance position but Jelusic is retaining full guard. Jelusic scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Lester Green dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Green throws a head kick that misses. Jelusic lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Green will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jelusic clinches with his opponent.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vovchanchyn scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Nom Nom ducks under a wild hook from Vovchanchyn. Nom Nom checks a leg kick nicely. Vovchanchyn fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Nom Nom is out of range. Wanderlei Vovchanchyn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Vovchanchyn changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Nice jab there from Vovchanchyn. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nom Nom looks to land a body kick but Vovchanchyn moved away. Nom Nom connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Vovchanchyn momentarily.

Nom Nom takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Om Nom Nom has been cut. Vovchanchyn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

A looping hook to the body misses from Alavaara. Amato does a little dance to reset his feet. Amato fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Alavaara manages to avoid it. Amato getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Alavaara swings for the body but Amato moves out of range.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Scott decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Scott stops Uusivirta from getting back to his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Apanson throws a head kick but Bear Junior moves out of range.
Bear Junior slips under a jab from Apanson. Apanson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Apanson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Apanson prevents Bear Junior from getting the reversal. A nice elbow there by Apanson. Bear Junior tries to get back to half guard but can't. Apanson with the ground and pound from mount. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Poor strikes thrown by Apanson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Apanson is landing with some decent strikes but Bear Junior is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Bear Junior is bucking up trying to escape but Apanson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Bear Junior is rocked! Apanson looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Bear Junior covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
