Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tobias Walker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Martin Pirn! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pirn moves into the clinch. Pirn's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Pirn gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Walker controls from within his opponent's guard. Walker is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Walker wants to control from the top but Pirn keeps moving. Walker's corner is telling him to maintain position. Pirn wants to stand up but Walker is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pirn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Walker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Walker sitting in guard here, content to control.
We're going to have a standup here because Tobias Walker wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Walker shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pirn is trying to defend but Walker finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Pirn tries to kick Walker off but Walker keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Walker is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Walker is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Pirn pushes Walker off and gets back to his feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Pirn tests Walker's chin there with a solid looking shot. A shot to the body from Pirn misses and Walker decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pirn's guard. Walker looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Pirn is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pirn looks gassed! Walker controlling the action here. Walker is looking to advance position but Pirn won't allow it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Walker is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Pirn is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pirn wants to clinch. Pirn tries to work over Walker's front leg with a kick but Walker checks it. Walker really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Walker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Walker closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pirn did well to prevent Walker getting side control. Pirn pushes Walker off looking to stand but Walker dives back in and keeps control.
Walker uses his free foot to push down on Pirn's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Pirn. Walker looking for a guillotine from mount but Pirn is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walker working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Pirn turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Walker off and cradles Pirn's limp body as Walker celebrates with his corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Popov tries to clinch but Nelson is having none of it. Popov with a body punch. A glancing blow. Popov dives in and grabs Nelson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Nelson pushes down on Popov's head and hops out. Popov is looking to clinch but Nelson is avoiding it.
Nelson throws a right hand that Popov ducks under and follows up with a left that Popov also avoids with ease. Popov attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. A nice combination there by Popov.
Popov wants to clinch but Nelson slips to the side and Nelson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Nelson gets to his feet - Popov follows without any prompting. Popov scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nelson doesn't seem bothered though. Nelson throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Nelson moves into range and clinches up with Popov. Popov has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Nelson after a bit of a struggle. Nelson has Popov pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Nelson pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Popov tumbling to the mat - Nelson dives into Popov's guard. Popov is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Nelson has his hands clasped together but Popov extends an breaks Nelson's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Popov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manchester misses with a body kick. D shoots in and drives through. Manchester sprawls well. Manchester tries to clinch up. D shoots for a takedown but Manchester saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Manchester connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between D's hands. D avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Manchester connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Manchester lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. D blocks a leg kick. D fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Evan D. That's going to take a lot out of him. A head kick by Manchester misses and D counters with a nice double leg into side control. Manchester won't be happy with that. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Manchester parries the strikes from D easily there. D is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Manchester to escape.

Manchester is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. D wants to lay and pray for a moment but Manchester keeps working.

Franklin displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as King throws out the jab. King waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Franklin. King throws a shot from downtown. Franklin moves away and avoids it. Franklin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Franklin misses with a hook. King ducked under it nicely. King ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Franklin moves away. Some wild striking there from King.

King scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. A decent looking cross lands there for King. Franklin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and King counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. King wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Crunch! King slams his shin into Franklin's torso. Franklin misses with the combination.

King thows a left - swing and a miss! King slips a jab from Franklin. Franklin dips down and scores with a jab to the body. King swings for the body but Franklin moves out of range.

King throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. King ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Franklin moves away. King is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Franklin had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Franklin scores with a three punch combo!

Franklin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. King avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A jab from King finds it's way through Franklin's defenses. Franklin jabbing away but nothing is landing. Jab, jab by King - just one landing. Franklin lands a nice shot that snaps King's head back.

14 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nate Kyzer! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Halladay! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kyzer throws a sloppy head kick and Halladay moves out of range easily. Kyzer ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Halladay misses with a takedown and Kyzer counters with a stiff right hand. Halladay takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Nice shot lands for Kyzer. Halladay shoots and misses letting Kyzer counter with a right hand. Kyzer scores with a shot to the body.
Kyzer connects with the punch. Halladay has his takedown stuffed and Kyzer counters with a stiff right hand.
Halladay is rocked! Nate Kyzer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jon Halladay. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Halladay gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kyzer connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Halladay is still on wobbly legs! Can Kyzer finish him? Kyzer pushes Halladay away with a front kick. Halladay looks gassed! Halladay walks straight into a right hand from Kyzer - that's dropped him! Kyzer jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Halladay from any more punishment! Halladay complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
