The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jobber jabbing away but nothing is landing. Jobber scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Arai can't do much from the bottom here. Arai takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Jobber's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Aliev is defended easily by Blackhill. Blackhill scores with a shot to the body.
Blackhill fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Aliev manages to avoid it. Blackhill looks to score with a jab to the body but Aliev is just out of range. Aliev gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Aliev avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Aliev has control of Blackhill's left arm, preventing Blackhill from doing any damage. Blackhill cracks Aliev with a solid left hand. Blackhill throws a strike but Aliev rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Blackhill is looking to stand up but Aliev isn't so interested in that idea.

Blackhill ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Aliev misses with a takedown attempt - Blackhill sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Aliev misses with a right hand enabling Blackhill to counter with a crisp jab. Aliev uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Blackhill.
The fighters circle momentarily. Blackhill darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Aliev takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Blackhill stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Blackhill just misses with a punch to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Blackhill lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Aliev backs up against the cage.
It looks like Lesbek Aliev has been cut. Blackhill lands with an overhand left. Nice straight punches there by Blackhill. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Blackhill. Blackhill scores with a jab. Aliev acknowledges it with a nod of the head. James Blackhill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Blackhill darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Blackhill throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice takedown defense from Blackhill. No joy for Aliev on that attempt. Blackhill lands the left hand. Blackhill connects with a body shot that sends Aliev's belly button to the back. Aliev is breathing heavily. Nice cross by Blackhill. Blackhill lands with a nice body punch. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Aliev pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Blackhill dives in and scores a takedown into Aliev's guard. Blackhill won't allow Aliev to sweep him here. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Blackhill accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Blackhill must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Aliev is looking to stand back up but Blackhill counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Aliev. Aliev wants to improve his position but Blackhill is controlling well.

Sackett bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Verne is trying to control Sackett's posture but Sackett avoids it. I think Liddell might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Strange Clouds. 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Mason! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mason misses with a straight left. Asai looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Mason wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Asai misses with a right hand and Mason counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Mason darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Mason takes a swing at Asai's ribcage but misses. Mason throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Asai stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Asai uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mason has time to react. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Mason lands with a right hand. Mason uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Asai. Asai takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Asai is rocked! A punch combination from Asai misses. Mason uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Asai has time to react. Oh Asai is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Asai uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mason.
Asai seems to have got his legs back now. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Asai, right into the meat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Asai. Mason shrugs it off though. Asai moves forwards but Mason connects with a nice, crisp jab. A nice inside leg kick there by Asai. That's going to slow Mason down. Mason fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Mason ducks under a wild hook from Asai. Asai throws a push kick but Mason slaps the foot to one side. Asai scores with a head kick. Mason tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Mason misses with a hook. Asai ducked under it nicely. Asai throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Asai throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Asai lands with a kick to the temple. Mason shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Mason throws out a powerful jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Asai pushes Mason away with a front kick. Mason throws a right hand that misses
and Asai counters with a nice leg kick. Mason takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Mason missing with a left hand there. Asai was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Asai slips a jab from Mason. A head kick misses from Asai. Mason thows a body shot but no joy. Asai lands a head kick. Mason smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Mike Mason has been cut. Asai misses with a hook. Mason ducked under it nicely. Mason digs a good body shot into Asai's ribs. Mason defending well as Asai loads up on a big left hand. Asai fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mason has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nice shot lands for Mason. Asai lands with an overhand left. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Asai. Asai throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Asai misses with an uppercut. Mason moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Asai lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Mason throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Asai counters with a leg kick. Mason throws an overhand right that lands on Asai's shoulder, as Asai tries to avoid the shot. Asai lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Mason throws a hook but Asai avoids it easily. Mason is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Asai had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Asai throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Mason. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Asai lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Asai throws a nice inside leg kick. Asai connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Asai uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mason.
Mason misses with an uppercut
and Asai counters with a big head kick but Mason shrugs it off. Asai bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Nice uppercut there from Asai. Mason takes a jab right on the kisser.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A slapping body kick lands there for Asai. Mason throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Asai throws a series of punches but Mason moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daigo Asai dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mike Mason's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Asai uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Mason. Asai lands a big head kick that sends Mason tumbling to the mat! Asai takes a step backwards and waves Mason back to his feet - he wants the finish!

and Asai counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The crowd cheers as Johnson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Nowak doesn't seem phased though. Nowak tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance. Johnson dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Johnson misses with a wild body shot. Johnson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Nowak manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Nowak has his feet on Johnson's thighs here. He's pushed Johnson off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Johnson screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Styles scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Bob doesn't seem bothered though. Styles scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Styles lands a front kick. Bob looks gassed! No luck with that takedown attempt from Styles. Xavier Styles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. This has been an exciting period of action! Styles throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Bob was covering up waiting for the punch and Styles finishes the takedown easily into guard. Styles in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Styles missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Styles wants to control from the top but Bob keeps moving. Styles is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Styles throwing strikes from guard but Bob blocks nicely.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchaz misses with a hook. Avalon ducked under it nicely. Avalon uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sanchaz. Avalon pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Sanchaz back to the cage. Avalon follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sanchaz passes to full mount! Sanchaz thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Sanchaz swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Avalon is now in Sanchaz's guard. A big mistake from Sanchaz there, giving up the dominant position! Avalon wants to control from the top but Sanchaz keeps moving. Sanchaz pulls Avalon in close to his closed guard and prevents Avalon from doing any damage or advancing position.
