The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A clash of legs there as Hai blocks the low kick. Hai defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Noguerio. Hai closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Noguerio did well to prevent Hai getting side control. Hai perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Noguerio is looking to escape. Noguerio looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hai trying to control the pace. Hai lands with a punch from half guard. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Noguerio is trying to get back to full guard. Hai slips a nice elbow through Noguerio's hands, connecting with Noguerio's forehead. Hai with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Hai takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Hai lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Noguerio is looking to escape. Hai is thwarting Noguerio's attempts to control the position. Hai controlling the action here. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hai lands a nice short elbow. Hai is taking a breather. Noguerio says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Hai works his foot free and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hai lands with some strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hai lands a big shot there that rocks Noguerio but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Hai won't let Noguerio get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Hai fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Noguerio is rocked! Noguerio flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Oh Noguerio is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hai controlling the position easily from mount. Noguerio seems to have got his legs back now. Hai quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Hai but it's paid off an Noguerio is forced to tap! Nice work by Hai.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Wrestler counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Silva! Silva is trying to get back to his feet but can't. Wrestler content just to control the position here. Silva is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Silva is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wrestler looking to control but Silva is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Silva sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Wrestler takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Brock Wrestler was stalling too much, according to the referee. Silva throws a body punch but Wrestler moves out of range. Felipe Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Silva looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wrestler is one step ahead there. Wrestler being controlled here momentarily. Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wrestler defends it easily. This has been an exciting period of action! Silva has his hands on Wrestler's head, controlling the position.

He's pushed Wrestler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Silva fails in his attempt to clinch. Silva tries to land a front kick but Wrestler steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wrestler blocks the elbow strike.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Silva goes for a takedown attempt but Wrestler pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Silva has Wrestler pulled in close to control his posture. Wrestler looking to pass the guard. Wrestler trying to stand up but can't free himself from Silva's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Felipe Silva. Silva changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wrestler tries to avoid it but Silva manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wrestler to the ground. Wrestler escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Wrestler blocks a head kick by Silva.
Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wrestler counters with a shoot takedown. Silva fights it but they end up in guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wrestler content to stall in guard here.

It looks like Regan Hendricks has been cut. Left hook, right uppercut from Boxer. This has been an exciting period of action! Boxer misses with a wild body shot. Boxer connects with a nice cross there... Hendricks is looking wobbly and Boxer recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send Hendricks to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Boxer jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!

8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Verdmont Bronson! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oswaldo Barra! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Edson Gomes and Daniel Cesar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barra is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Barra on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Bronson really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill... Barra tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bronson swivels and escapes. Barra tries to clinch but Bronson moves out of range. Barra darts in trying to clinch and Bronson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Barra tries to clinch but Bronson is having none of it. Bronson scores with a body shot.
Bronson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Barra's hands. Barra shoots for a double leg takedown but Bronson sprawls well. He's pushed Barra's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bronson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bronson avoids the head kick by Barra.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barra tries to clinch up and Bronson counters with a nice uppercut. Nice uppercut lands for Bronson. That snapped Barra's head back.
Barra tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Barra closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bronson to the mat! Bronson manages to get full guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Bronson wants to stand but Barra is controlling the position. Barra loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Barra throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Barra stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bronson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bronson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Barra on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bronson keeping moving, preventing Barra from controlling successfully. Barra stops Bronson from standing up. Bronson pulls Barra in close to prevent any damage. This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Barra tries to clinch there but Bronson circles away.
Bronson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Barra moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Barra dodges the punch combination from Bronson.
Barra tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bronson paws at him with a jab and circles away. Barra throws a head kick that misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bronson misses with a few strikes there.
Bronson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Barra.
Bronson ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Barra darts in trying to clinch and Bronson counters with a right hand to the body. Barra shoots in for a takedown but Bronson shows good takedown defense. Verdmont Bronson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Oswaldo Barra. Barra shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bronson defends it nicely. Barra misses with an attempted mid kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barra closes this distance looking for a takedown but Bronson circles away. Barra tries for a takedown but Bronson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Barra shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bronson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Bronson stalks Barra and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Barra's face. Barra staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Oswaldo Barra has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Bronson misses with a hook. Barra shoots for a takedown but Bronson saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Oswaldo Barra seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Barra throws a right and a left that both miss. Verdmont Bronson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Barra walks into a stiff left hand from Bronson. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Barra has closed the distance and engaged Bronson in a clinch.
Bronson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Barra pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Bronson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Barra. Barra with a lazy takedown attempt and Bronson counters with a straight right hand. Barra darts in trying to clinch and Bronson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Barra is rocked! Barra misses with a takedown and Bronson counters with a left to the body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bronson throws a hook but Barra blocks it. Barra tries to clinch there but Bronson circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bronson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Decent striking displayed by Bronson there. Barra is still on wobbly legs! Can Bronson finish him? Bronson closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Barra! Bronson dives in looking to finish! Barra is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Verdmont Bronson! Verdmont Bronson retains his lightweight title! A less than humble Verdmont Bronson misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
