Pulver kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Little Evil. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lloyd Butler! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pulver takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Pulver closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Butler's guard. Butler utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Pulver is looking to stand up but Butler won't let him. Butler is looking to stand up but Pulver isn't so interested in that idea. Pulver postures up.
Butler looking for a guillotine here but Pulver defends easily.
Pulver is pushing down on Butler's leg trying to pass to half guard. Butler is fighting to maintain full guard but Pulver has managed to sneak the leg through. Pulver slows the pace down in half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Butler is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pulver pulls his head out easily. Butler is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pulver pulls his head out easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pulver is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Pulver tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Butler. Butler has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pulver is working away from the top position though. Pulver thows a huge punch but Butler dodges it nicely.

Pulver is keen to just control but Butler is a slippery customer. Pulver controlling the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Butler works his way to full guard. Good work. Pulver avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pulver controls from within his opponent's guard. Butler is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Butler wants to stand and escape but Pulver is having none of it. Pulver trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Butler is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Pulver chips away with some ground and pound. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Butler has an active guard here but Pulver has managed to pass into half guard.
Pulver stands up and beckons Butler to join him on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pulver gets a clinch. Butler is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Pulver is defending well. Pulver escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
No luck for Pulver with that takedown attempt. Butler slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Pulver dives in and grabs Butler's left leg, looking for a takedown. Butler pushes down on Pulver's head and hops out. Butler throws out a powerful jab. Butler looks to land a combination. Pulver sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Butler throws a series of punches but Pulver moves out of range. A punch lands to the side of Pulver 's head but he takes it in his stride. Pulver fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jens Pulver. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Butler bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Pulver's head. Pulver takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Butler scores with a one two! Pulver had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pulver shoots in but Butler avoids the takedown attempt easily. Butler fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Pulver avoids it really well and circles away. Butler gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Pulver to score an easy takedown into full guard. Pulver is breathing heavily. Butler keeping full guard, as Pulver tries to pass. Butler is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Butler is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Pulver sees it coming and defends easily. Pulver makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Lloyd Butler will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Butler goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Butler goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Sloppy strikes from Butler. Those never looked like landing. Butler stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Butler wants it to stay on the feet. Decent striking displayed by Butler there. Lloyd Butler seems to be getting the better of the standup. Butler moves out of range of the body kick from Pulver.
Pulver misses with a takedown attempt - Butler sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Butler misses with a jab, cross combination.
Pulver connects with a leg kick. Butler looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Butler is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pulver sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Butler closes the distance and lands a one-two. This has been an exciting period of action! A right-left combo lands from Butler. Pulver takes a body punch but keeps moving. Butler throws a nice looking combination but Pulver bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Butler fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Pulver shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Butler is working an open guard so Pulver takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Butler throws a right and a left that Pulver avoids nicely. Pulver closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Pulver decides to take the fight back to the feet. This has been an exciting period of action! Pulver fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Butler sprawls well initially but Pulver persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Butler wants to get back to full guard. Butler gets full guard. Pulver is looking to stand up but Butler won't let him. Butler is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pulver is controlling him. Pulver trying to control but Butler is working from the bottom.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Butler shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pulver sprawls well. Pulver wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lloyd Butler showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Pulver fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Butler avoids it really well and circles away. Pulver shoots in for a takedown but Butler shows good takedown defense. Butler lands a two punch combo.

Pulver shoots in and bounces Butler off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Butler keeping moving, preventing Pulver from controlling successfully. Pulver gets to his feet. Butler looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Pulver shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Butler is staying active underneath Pulver, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Butler manages to get to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pulver pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Butler is keeping the position for now. Butler escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pulver gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Butler looking for a guillotine here but Pulver defends easily.
Pulver controls the pace of the fight for a moment. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Butler is on top in guard.
Butler thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pulver scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Pulver misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Pulver scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Pulver wants to control but Butler is keeping him busy. Butler regains half guard. Butler is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Butler looks like he's trying to stand up.
Butler moves into full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pulver trying to control but Butler is working from the bottom. Pulver pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Butler is keeping the position for now. Pulver sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Butler's guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pulver stands up out of the half guard. Butler stalks Pulver and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pulver's face. Pulver staggers backwards, shaken. Butler feints a jab promting Pulver to slip. Butler then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pulver slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Butler lands with a cross. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pulver tries to score a power double leg takedown but Butler sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pulver somewhat. Jens Pulver has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lloyd Butler is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Pulver looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Pulver blocks a head kick by Butler.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jens Pulver. I think Butler has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! King throws a right hand that Szymkowiak ducks under and follows up with a left that Szymkowiak also avoids with ease. King rushes Szymkowiak and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. King wants to break the clinch but can't.
King wants the takedown. Szymkowiak is fighting it off but King persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Szymkowiak's guard against the cage. King trying to stand up but can't free himself from Szymkowiak's guard. Szymkowiak has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think King should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Szymkowiak has tightened it up now! King should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGirt tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Johnson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Johnson slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
It looks like Dirt McGirt has been cut. Johnson cracks McGirt with a big right hand and McGirt goes down!
McGirt is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Johnson trying to control but McGirt is working from the bottom. Johnson postures up in McGirt's guard and throws a big left but McGirt blocks it. Johnson pushes down on McGirt's leg and manages to get into half guard. Johnson seems to be working for a kimura but McGirt defends the submission attempt. Johnson works his foot free and advances to mount. Johnson can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McGirt is looking to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGirt taking shots to the head. McGirt is trying to get back to his feet but can't. McGirt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Johnson controlling the pace for now. Johnson is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. McGirt can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Johnson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… McGirt is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by McGirt and Johnson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Johnson is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. McGirt looks calm but he's in trouble here. Johnson gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. McGirt is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Johnson lets go of the hold and McGirt can pop his arm back in it's socket.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saint Laurent fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Smalls avoids it really well and circles away. Saint Laurent is looking to clinch but Smalls is avoiding it.
Smalls attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Saint Laurent is looking to clinch. Smalls circles away from the clinch attempt.
Smalls thuds his shin into the meat of Saint Laurent's side. Smalls misses with a hook. Osiris Smalls seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Saint Laurent moves in looking to clinch but Smalls pushes him off. A nice combination there by Smalls.
It looks like Bernard Saint Laurent has been cut. Smalls connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Saint Laurent drops Smalls with a left right combo! Saint Laurent follows him down to the ground into side control.
Smalls is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Saint Laurent scores with a couple of short elbows. Oh Smalls is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Smalls tries to bench press Saint Laurent off him but Saint Laurent keeps the position. Saint Laurent scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Smalls is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Saint Laurent can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bernard Saint Laurent! Bernard Saint Laurent is the new welterweight champion! Our winner, Bernard Saint Laurent, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tonelada throws a leg kick but Chim sees it coming and checks it nicely. Tonelada moves away from the strike by Chim. Chim has a takedown stuffed. Chim just misses with a punch to the body.
Tonelada moves out of range of the strikes. Chim attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Chim fails with an attempt to clinch.
Chim drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Chim postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

It looks like Ronilson Tonelada has been cut. Chim lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tonelada gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Chim scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Poor strikes thrown by Chim there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

That has opened up Ronilson Tonelada's cut even more. A nice elbow there by Chim. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Chim lands a nice shot to the head.
The cut above Ronilson Tonelada's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Tonelada really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chim. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Chim trying to control but he's not successful this time. Chim is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Tonelada can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Ronilson Tonelada's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ronilson Tonelada's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

McNulty shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Liddell makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. McNulty throws a left and a right that both miss
so Liddell counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Liddell looking to pass the guard. Liddell pushes down on McNulty's leg and manages to get into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Liddell is taking a breather. McNulty says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Liddell trying to mount his opponent but McNulty defends it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Liddell sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. McNulty defending well though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Liddell moves nicely into side control. McNulty explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! McNulty is breathing heavily.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Liddell utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Liddell is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Liddell manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McNulty manages to get himself to full guard.

Hilton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hummel manages to avoid it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hilton swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hummel lands with a good body shot. Hilton throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hummel stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Hilton misses with a combination
and Hummel counters with a nice body kick. No luck for Hummel with that takedown attempt. Hummel ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Hummel lands a glancing blow to the side of Hilton's head. Hummel steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hilton. Hummel goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
