1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matheus Lucas! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Thiago Cunha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A jab from Peterson finds it's way through Lucas's defenses. Peterson really is a fat lump. Lucas throws a poor cross that misses
and Peterson counters with a crisp one two that drops Lucas! Peterson thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lucas to his feet! Lucas is in big trouble! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lucas misses with a hook to the body
and Peterson counters with a crisp right hand that drops Lucas! Peterson lets Lucas back up to his feet, looking for a finish! Lucas misses with a hook. Lucas will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Peterson throws a head kick that misses. Peterson dodges the punch combination from Lucas.
Peterson throws a one two combo.
Lucas misses with a looping left. A swing and a miss from Peterson. Peterson stuns Lucas with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Peterson tries to close the distance and clinch but Lucas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lucas throws a jab when Peterson was well out of range. A right-left combo lands from Lucas. Peterson misses with a body shot.
A nice leg kick lands there from Lucas. Lucas defending well as Peterson loads up on a big left hand. Peterson needs to keep his hands up - Lucas had a free shot at his head there. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lucas leaves Peterson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lucas connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Peterson's hands. Peterson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lucas. Lucas misses with the combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peterson lands a glancing blow to the side of Lucas's head. Lucas takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lucas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Peterson was well out of range. Poor timing from Lucas. Lucas dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Peterson. That did some damage! Peterson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. A telegraphed right hand from Lucas misses the target. Lucas with a nice cross. Lucas lands with a hook. Peterson tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Lucas lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. The fighters circling - Lucas throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A looping hook to the body misses from Peterson. Lucas does a little dance to reset his feet. Lucas feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Peterson's calf. Lucas drops Peterson with a big left hand! Peterson is injured, injured bad! Lucas jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matheus Lucas! Matheus Lucas decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Claude Strife! The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fay misses with a left hand and Strife counters with a stiff right hand. Fay tries to clinch there but Strife circles away.
Strife takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Fay fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Strife, pushing him back against the cage. Fay lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Strife backwards. Fay is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Fay breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A big right from Fay misses. Fay throws a big shot that misses. Strife swinging wildly here.
Strife tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Strife attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Fay pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Strife is looking to land body kicks. Fay with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Strife to score with a decent uppercut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fay throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Strife works the jab nicely. Fay throws a poor cross that misses
and Strife counters with a lovely shot to the body. Fay needs to keep his hands up - Strife had a free shot at his head there.
Fay is rocked! Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Strife engages and cracks Fay with a massive lead left hook - Fay tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Strife is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sousa misses with a takedown and Bonebreaker counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Sousa looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bonebreaker seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Bonebreaker looking to pass the guard. Bonebreaker is looking to work some ground and pound but Sousa has wrist control. Bonebreaker is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Bonebreaker gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sousa gets caught napping as Bonebreaker dives in and scores a takedown. Sousa manages to retain guard. Bonebreaker slips nicely into half guard. Bonebreaker looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Sousa trying to control but Bonebreaker postures up.
Sousa is breathing heavily. Bonebreaker is controlling the pace.
Sousa tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Bonebreaker manages to move to mount!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bonebreaker landing strikes, looking to finish! Bonebreaker quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Bonebreaker but it's paid off an Sousa is forced to tap! Nice work by Bonebreaker.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Green scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jachkrahn can do anything to dispel that myth. Jachkrahn is trying to get back to his feet. Green is trying to get an arm triangle but Jachkrahn is defending well. Jachkrahn regains half guard there - taking advantage of Green's attempt to lay and pray for a moment. Green prevents Jachkrahn from standing back up.
Green is working for a kimura but Jachkrahn is defending it quite comfortably.

Green maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Jachkrahn could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Green has cracked it and Jachkrahn is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Green!

Silva jumps guard but Gracy stands there with Silva around his waist. Silva gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Silva is trying to pull guard but Gracy has him pressed against the cage. Gracy is trying to drag Silva to the mat but Silva just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Silva working hard to break the clinch. Gracy breaks from the clinch.
Silva shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gracy but Gracy pushes him off and we're back to square one. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronaldo Silva. That's going to take a lot out of him. Silva swinging wildly here.

Silva shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gracy pinned against the cage. Gracy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Silva looks to clinch and Gracy counters with a nice double leg into side control. Silva won't be happy with that. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Silva is not content to let Gracy control the position. Silva struggling a bit here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracy wants to control for a moment but Silva uses the opportunity to move back to half guard. Gracy not landing any meaningful shots this time. Gracy is keen to just control but Silva is a slippery customer. Gracy frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Gracy tries to control but Silva wriggling away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracy looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Gracy trying to control but he's not successful this time. Silva is looking to improve his position but Gracy isn't that keen on the idea. Gracy blocks Silva's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Silva holds of for dear life. Gracy throwing strikes here but Silva is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Ronaldo Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gracy sprawls well. Gracy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Silva gets slowly back to his feet. Silva gets tackled into the cage by Gracy. Gracy maintains the clinch. Gracy's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Gracy tries to close the distance and clinch up but Silva swats him away and circles back towards the center. Silva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gracy to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Silva strikes from his own guard. Silva scores with a nice shot. Gracy controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Silva has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gracy can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Gracy trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva striking off his back. Silva keeping moving, preventing Gracy from controlling successfully. Gracy postures up.

Royce Gracy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Gracy tries to close the distance and clinch but Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Gracy fails in his attempt to clinch. Silva with a poor takedown and Gracy counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Silva's guard now. Gracy postures up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Gracy doesn't manage to clinch there - Silva circles away.

Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Silva throws a right and a left that both miss. Silva is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Silva shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Gracy is trying to get back to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Silva blocks the strikes from Gracy.

Silva thows a huge punch but Gracy dodges it nicely.
Gracy regains full guard. Nicely done. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gracy looking to control.
Silva drops back, looking for a kneebar! Gracy looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Gracy looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Gracy! Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva tries to improve position but can't. Gracy has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Silva is looking to clinch but Gracy is avoiding it.
Gracy shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Silva counters by moving into the clinch. Gracy lands a good knee to the midsection. Silva won't want to take too many of those. Gracy tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Silva just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gracy wants the takedown. Silva is fighting it off but Gracy persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Silva's guard against the cage. Silva wants to improve his position but instead Gracy has moved into half guard.
Silva is trying to get back to full guard. Silva is looking to control Gracy's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Silva avoid being mounted? Gracy missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Silva looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Ronaldo Silva has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! This has been an exciting period of action! Gracy is trying to control. Silva wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
And that's the end of the fight! Royce Gracy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Gracy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Covalt digs a good body shot into Contreiras's ribs. Jeremiah Covalt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Contreiras on the wrong end of a nice hook. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Covalt, as that shot connected.
Contreiras takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A solid leg kick lands there for Covalt.
Contreiras shoots in looking for a takedown but Covalt manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Contreiras's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Covalt catches Contreiras with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Covalt scoring well with a low kick there.
Covalt comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Contreiras gets in close and instigates a clinch. A head punch on the inside from Covalt fails to land. Covalt is looking to control Contreiras's arms but Contreiras gets an underhook and turns him. Now Covalt has his back to the cage. Covalt misses with a punch on the inside.
Covalt is trying to break the clinch but Contreiras has him pressed against the cage. Covalt tries to circle away but Contreiras has him pinned against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Covalt wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Covalt pulls Contreiras into guard.
Covalt keeping moving, preventing Contreiras from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Covalt is trying to control the position but Contreiras postures up. Contreiras is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Covalt trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
