Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jampo throws out a loose jab but Rogers uses good head movement to avoid it.

Jampo drops Rogers with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Rogers looks back up at him and smiles so Jampo waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Jampo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Rogers tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Jampo digs a right hand underneath Rogers's ribcage. Rogers let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Jampo tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Rogers's elbow.

Jampo throws a big uppercut that drops Rogers! More strikes from Jampo and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Rogers lies dazed against the cage as Jampo celebrates with his cornermen!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maritimus uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McCormick.
McCormick misses with a wild combination.

and Maritimus counters with a shoot takedown. McCormick fights it but they end up in guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
McCormick has a closed guard, preventing Maritimus from standing up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maritimus slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

McCormick throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Maritimus stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

McCormick does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

McCormick tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McCormick lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
McCormick thows a body kick. Maritimus tries to catch it but that hurt him.
McCormick throws a chopping leg kick but Maritimus manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
McCormick throws a head kick that misses.
McCormick scores with the left hand. Maritimus knows he should have avoided that one.

McCormick throws a sloppy head kick and Maritimus moves out of range easily.
McCormick tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Maritimus paws at him with a jab and circles away.

McCormick throws a solid leg kick but Maritimus takes the impact on his shin and smiles at McCormick.
Maritimus shoots for a double leg takedown but McCormick sprawls well. He's pushed Maritimus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
McCormick misses with a looping left.
Maritimus looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McCormick is fending him off so far but Maritimus persists. Nope, McCormick circles away and we're back to standing.
McCormick scores with a sloppy right hand. Maritimus should have avoided that one.
McCormick misses with a low kick.
McCormick looks to land a right hand but Maritimus moved out of range.
McCormick goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Maritimus fails with a takedown attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McCormick throws out a loose jab but Maritimus uses good head movement to avoid it.

McCormick buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
McCormick fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Maritimus has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
McCormick pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Maritimus counters with a head kick. That will keep McCormick thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Maritimus lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
McCormick checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
A nice leg kick lands there from McCormick.
McCormick buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Maritimus's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from McCormick.
Christopher McCormick is winning the standup battle so far.
Maritimus staying out of range there.
McCormick bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
McCormick throws a body kick that misses.
McCormick tries to land a front kick but Maritimus steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Maritimus misses with a takedown attempt - McCormick sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Horrible takedown by Maritimus or perhaps it was just good defense by McCormick which made him look bad.
