22 - 7 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Holden Gracie! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gracie tries a low kick but De Boskabouter avoids it. Gracie lands a jab. De Boskabouter turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. De Boskabouter lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. A punch lands to the side of Gracie 's head but he takes it in his stride. An inside leg kick lands from Gracie. Gracie checks a leg kick. Gracie misses with a kick to the body.
Gracie throws a half hearted mid kick. Gracie swings and misses with a hook to the body.
De Boskabouter throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Gracie getting the better of the striking in that exchange. This has been an exciting period of action! Gracie keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

Gomi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Patton! Patton tries to lock up and control but Gomi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. That was a close round but I would say that Takanori Gomi will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Hirvonen goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Hirvonen thows a left - swing and a miss! Pentti Hirvonen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Maia tries a low kick but Hirvonen avoids it. Hirvonen scores with a one two! Maia had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Maia shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Overeem tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ironz's elbow. Ironz missing with knees to the body.

Ironz closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks Overeem out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!
