The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santana shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fern as he jumps to the side. Fern misses with an uppercut. Santana saw that one coming. Fern lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Santana falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Alberto Fern!

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roger Gracie! The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Storm dives in and scores a takedown into Gracie's guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Storm is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Storm throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gracie works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Gracie is controlling Storm's posture. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gracie can do anything to dispel that myth. Gracie wants to improve his position but instead Storm has moved into half guard.
Storm is trying to control. Gracie wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Storm sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gracie defending well though. Storm thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Gracie tries to get to full guard but Storm has control of the leg. Gracie trying to control but Storm postures up.
Storm is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gracie sees it coming and defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gracie defends it well. Storm stalling. Storm sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Gracie defending well though. Storm throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Storm is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie controls Storm momentarily but Storm frees himself. Storm has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Gracie avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Storm working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Gracie's head. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Storm's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Gracie keeping moving, preventing Storm from controlling successfully. Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy. Storm pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Gracie is keeping the position for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Mason Storm just wasn't active enough. Storm moves into range and clinches up with Gracie. Gracie tightens his grip and picks Storm up, before dumping him to the ground. Storm manages to land in guard. Storm doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Gracie showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Storm working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gracie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gracie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Storm keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Gracie works a leg free and moves into half guard. Storm trying to control from the bottom.
Gracie is trying to control the action in half guard but Storm is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Gracie prevents Storm from improving his position. Storm is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Storm trying to control here.
Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Storm keeps working. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mason Storm dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Storm gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gracie to score an easy takedown into full guard. Storm can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gracie controls the pace. Mason Storm overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gracie trying to control but Storm is working from the bottom. Gracie is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Storm keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Roger Gracie wasn't active enough on the ground. Storm doesn't manage to clinch there - Gracie circles away.
Gracie closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Gracie grinds an elbow into Storm's temple.
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm is looking for a sweep. Gracie in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Storm tries to buck Gracie off but Gracie is having none of it. Gracie looks up at the clock and then as Storm takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gracie smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Gracie wants to lay and pray for a moment but Storm keeps working. Storm taking a bit of punishment here - Gracie scoring with strikes. Storm is looking to reverse the position. Storm sneaks back into half guard. Gracie passes to full mount! Storm is in all sorts of trouble here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gracie controlling the position easily from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie with good strikes from the mount here! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Gracie putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Gracie looking to control and managing it successfully. Storm is looking to improve his position but Gracie isn't that keen on the idea. Gracie working Storm over with strikes here. Storm can't escape the position.
Gracie content just to control the position here. Gracie is landing with some decent strikes but Storm is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gracie trying to control but he's not successful this time. Storm taking shots to the head. Gracie raining down hammerfists from mount. Storm tries to buck Gracie off but he can't manage it. Gracie controlling the pace for now. BOOM! Gracie connects with a massive shot to the dome!

This has been an exciting period of action! Gracie sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gracie trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Roger Gracie showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Gracie decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Gracie looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Gracie trying to mount his opponent but Storm defends it. Storm looking for submissions off his back. Gracie has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Gracie is keen to just control but Storm is a slippery customer. Gracie stalling away here and it's allowed Storm to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Storm is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Storm controls Gracie momentarily but Gracie frees himself. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Gracie wants to control from the top but Storm keeps moving.
That's one minute gone in the round. Storm is looking to stand back up but Gracie counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Storm. Storm works his way to full guard. Good work. Gracie scoring with punches to the head and body. Gracie working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Storm's head. Storm wants to control the position but Gracie says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Still in half guard, Gracie seems content to control. Gracie working the head and body with strikes. Gracie content to control rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Storm wants to improve his position but Gracie is controlling well.
Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Storm does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Gracie has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gracie working Storm over with strikes here.

Gracie controlling the position easily from mount. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Gracie cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Gracie wants to control the pace but Storm is squirming around nicely. Mason Storm has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Gracie raining down shots from the mount! Gracie tries to control but Storm wriggling away. Gracie controlling his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Let's hope that Gracie has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Gracie putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Gracie working Storm over with strikes here. Storm is squirming around, avoiding Gracie's attempts to control the action. This has been an exciting period of action! Storm really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
