Icarus bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Romanov! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Icarus wants to stand but Romanov has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Laz Icarus has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Romanov feints and then cracks Icarus's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Icarus down.

Romanov does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Icarus on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Romanov throws a wild hook but Icarus just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Romanov gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Icarus raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 5, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Laz Icarus!
Laz Icarus is the new light heavyweight champion!
A relieved looking Laz Icarus thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
