2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Pin! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Junior shoots in for a double leg but Pin sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Pin displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Junior. Pin digs a good hook to Junior's body.
Pin catches Junior napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Junior to the canvas!
It looks like Thiago Junior has been cut. Junior is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Pin landing some decent shots from guard. Pin postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Pin must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Thiago Junior's cut is getting worse. Pin working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Pin missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Pin distracts Junior with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Jeez, Thiago Junior's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strom fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Strom takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Luiz has closed the distance and engaged Strom in a clinch.
Luiz has picked Strom up - he's going for a ride! Luiz dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Strom actively working from the bottom here. Luiz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Strom. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Luiz is keen to just control but Strom is a slippery customer. Luiz wants to get back to his feet.
Strom has one foot on Luiz's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strom tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Luiz swivels and escapes. Luiz doesn't succeed with the takedown and Strom counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Luiz wants to improve his position but Strom is controlling well.
Well, if Strom is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Luiz throws a quick inside leg kick. Strom tries for a takedown but Luiz circles away easily and Luiz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Strom won't be happy with that. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julius Strom. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee asks Luiz politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Luiz prefers to stall for the moment though.

I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. The ground and pound from Luiz seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Luiz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Strom keeps working. Luiz decides to stand back up. Luiz steps back and let's Strom get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Luiz clinches with his opponent.

Luiz has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Strom is trying to keep an underhook but Luiz manages to get the takedown into half guard. Luiz sitting and controlling from the half guard. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Luiz misses with a takedown and Strom counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Luiz's guard now. Julius Strom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Claudio Luiz. Luiz controls Strom momentarily but Strom frees himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Strom slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Luiz throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Strom escapes and throws Luiz's legs to the side, diving into side control! Luiz tries to buck Strom off but Strom is having none of it. Luiz is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Strom off and has taken his back! Luiz missing with punches from the back. Strom is trying to get back to his feet but Luiz has full control of the position and if anything, Strom has just worked his way into a worse spot. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Julius Strom will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Strom tries for a takedown but Luiz circles away easily and Luiz makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Strom really felt that one! A left and a right from Luiz both land. Nice combination. Luiz throws a head kick that Strom semi-blocks.

Luiz shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Strom napping and manages to drive through into side control! Strom is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Luiz asserts his dominance and retains side control. Luiz taking a breather here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Luiz decides to stand back up.

Jab, jab by Luiz - just one landing. Luiz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Strom counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Luiz looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Strom with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Strom thows a huge punch but Luiz dodges it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Strom performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Luiz is trying to maintain the position but Strom is very close to passing his half guard. Strom trying to control the action but Luiz is working from the bottom. Luiz is trying to get back to full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Luiz feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Strom's calf. Julius Strom is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Luiz shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Strom is trying to defend but Luiz finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Angle stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Angle wants it to stay on the feet. Dante closes the distance and clinches. Dante is struggling to control the position. Dante has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Angle regains guard immediately. Angle is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Dante defends well. Angle is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Dante wants to control from the top but Angle keeps moving. Dante stands and throws Angle's legs to the side, diving into side control. Dante lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Dante might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Angle kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Angle tries to improve position but can't. Dante swings around for an armbar but Angle sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Dante's guard. Dante feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Dante looks gassed! Angle keeping moving, preventing Dante from controlling successfully. Dante is sitting in close to Angle's body. Angle has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Dante is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Dante is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Angle.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. You can see the frustration on Mokkelime's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Mokkelime sneaks back into half guard. Mokkelime on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Mokkelime is not content to let Beucher control the position. Beucher is nestled in close to Mokkelime, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Beucher throwing shots but Mokkelime is blocking nicely.
