Panaro scores with a spinning back kick! Panaro displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sackett. Sackett drives through and clinches with Panaro against the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bruno tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range. Bruno moves to clinch but Jones breaks away and Jones connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Johann Bruno has been cut. Bruno tries to clinch but Jones moves away and Jones counters with a right hand that sends Bruno tumbling to the canvas! Can Jones finish him? He dives into Bruno's guard looking to do just that!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bruno can do anything to dispel that myth. Jones trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Jones seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Bruno fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it.

Bruno tries to clinch up and Jones counters with a beautiful punch that sends Bruno to the canvas! Jones controls from within his opponent's guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Jones stops Bruno from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

"I don't think so" says Hauki as he avoids it easily. Jorma Hauki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bubba James. James shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hauki pinned against the cage. Hauki gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Bubba James seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. James scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. James lands with a punch from half guard. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. and Koutras counters with a one-two to the body. Koutras doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.

It looks like Jacinto Koutras has been cut. Jones fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
