Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mirko Ray Ardona! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Loid! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ardona lands the left hand. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Loid. Ardona throws a right and a left that both miss. Ardona throws a right and a left that Loid avoids nicely. Loid changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ardona tries to avoid it but Loid manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ardona to the ground. Ardona escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Some wild striking there from Ardona.
Ardona lands the left hand. Ardona throws a right and a left that Loid avoids nicely. Ardona slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Loid gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ardona. Ardona will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Loid misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Mirko Ray Ardona has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Loid. Loid is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Ardona.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ardona throws a front kick that sends Loid stumbling back into the cage. Ardona lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

A lazy left from Ardona finds it's target. Loid closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Ardona did well to prevent Loid getting side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Loid lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Ardona is looking to escape. Ardona knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Loid on the ground. Loid missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Loid working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Loid is looking for a kimura but Ardona is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Loid to get the leverage. Loid looks winded! Loid looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ardona with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Ardona is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Loid scores with a couple of nice shots. Ardona is looking to escape. Ardona on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ardona is looking to control Loid's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ardona avoid being mounted? Loid scoring with strikes to the body and head. Loid controlling the action here. Ardona pushes Loid off looking to stand but Loid dives back in and keeps control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Loid throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Loid thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Ardona wants to control but Loid is keeping busy and won't allow it. Loid prevents Ardona from standing back up.
Loid winds up and cracks Ardona with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Ardona wants to get back to full guard. Loid not landing any meaningful shots this time. Loid takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Loid lands with a punch from half guard. Ardona wants to get back to full guard. That was a close round but I would say that Mirko Ray Ardona will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Loid looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ardona is fending him off so far but Loid persists. Nope, Ardona circles away and we're back to standing. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Loid is defended easily by Ardona. Mirko Ray Ardona has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Loid. Ardona lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Loid takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

It looks like Jeff Loid has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ardona!
Loid is rocked! Ardona lands with a thumping leg kick.
Loid is still on wobbly legs! Can Ardona finish him? Loid is breathing heavily. No luck with that takedown attempt from Loid. Loid seems to have recovered his senses. Loid blocks a head kick by Ardona.
Loid shoots in looking for a takedown. Ardona tries to sprawl out of it but Loid keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ardona manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Ardona misses with the combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Loid shoots for a takedown but Ardona saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Good exchange - Ardona coming out on top. Ardona scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Ardona scores to the head and body with a nice combination! Loid takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Ardona misses with the combination.

Ardona stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ardona wants it to stay on the feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Loid. Ardona rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Loid moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

A lazy left from Ardona finds it's target. Ardona lands with a kick to the temple. Loid shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Nice straight punches there by Ardona. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Ardona. Loid fails to land the takedown. Ardona misses with a series of wild punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Ardona lands a really nice looking cross but Loid seems unphased.
Loid ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Mirko Ray Ardona is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ardona throws a right and a left that Loid avoids nicely. Mirko Ray Ardona is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ardona tests Loid's chin there with a solid looking shot. Loid shoots in for a takedown but Ardona shows good takedown defense. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ardona throws a right and a left that both miss. Ardona displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Loid fails with a takedown attempt. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Loid has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Ardona. Ardona lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mirko Ray Ardona dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Jeff Loid's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Ardona delivers a nice body kick. Loid tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ardona swivels and escapes. Ardona cracks Loid with a good jab. Ardona's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Ardona duly obliges. Loid shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Loid stops Ardona from getting back to his feet.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Loid connects with a nice short shot to Ardona's temple. Ardona wants to get back to his feet.
Loid is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Loid passes to full mount! The referee warns Ardona that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Loid working the ground and pound effectively.
Ardona squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Loid lands a couple of good shots and Ardona has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Loid is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Loid gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Loid gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Loid apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Ardona turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A thudding body kick lands there by Ardona!
Loid walks into a straight right hand from Ardona. Ardona misses with a double jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ardona throws a lazy body kick and Loid moves into the clinch. Ardona is trying to break the clinch but Loid has him pressed against the cage. Ardona can't break the clinch.
Ardona throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Ardona swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Loid has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Loid is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Mirko Ray Ardona has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jeff Loid. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ardona wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Loid successfully pulls guard.
Ardona slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Ardona wants to stand but Loid has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ardona trying to stand up but can't free himself from Loid's guard. Loid keeping moving, preventing Ardona from controlling successfully. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Mirko Ray Ardona just wasn't active enough. Ardona looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ardona gets caught flat footed, as Loid shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Loid lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ardona working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Loid doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Loid manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Ardona wants to stand and escape but Loid is having none of it. Loid gets to his feet. Ardona looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Loid looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ardona is fending him off so far but Loid persists. Nope, Ardona circles away and we're back to standing. Ardona throws a good cross that connects.
Ardona fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Ardona throws the left hand but Loid avoids the punch easily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Loid is defended easily by Ardona. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ardona looks to land a combination. Loid sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mirko Ray Ardona. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ardona, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stone scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Stone connects with a right hand. Pablos shakes it off. Stone moves into the clinch. Stone tries to throw a body punch but Pablos avoids it by throwing Stone back against the cage. Stone tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pablos's elbow. Stone gets underhooks to prevent Pablos's takedown attempt.
Pablos breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Stone rushes Pablos and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Stone prevents the takedown attempt.
Pablos is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pablo Pablos. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pablos jumps into guard, dragging Stone to the mat.

Pablos is working away from the top position though. Stone is controlling Pablos's position as best he can from this difficult position. Stone tries to roll over but Pablos keeps him under control. Stone is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Pablos is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Pablo Pablos overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stone is doing well to control the position and prevent Pablos from advancing to side control. Pablos sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Stone defending well though. Stone tries to get to full guard but Pablos has control of the leg. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Stone trying to hold on to Pablos's head to control him but Pablos postures up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stone is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Pablos wants to stand up but Stone has a hold of him and won't allow it. Pablos is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Pablos not landing any meaningful shots this time. Pablos stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone swats away the attempt to clinch by Pablos. Stone moves into range and clinches up with Pablos. Stone prevents a takedown attempt there.

Pablos has Stone pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Stone manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stone breaks from the clinch.
Stone moves into range and clinches up with Pablos. Pablos has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Stone is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Harold Stone will probably get the nod - 10:9. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Stone closes the distance and pushes Pablos back into the cage. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Harold Stone. Stone has closed the distance and engaged Pablos in a clinch.
Pablos changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Stone fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Stone ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stone ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Pablos tries to keep at a distance but Stone has taken the fight into the clinch. Stone digs a right hand into Pablos's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Pablos's gas tank. Stone lands a left hand.
Stone stalls. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pablos wants a takedown.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Losev misses the target. Jones closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Losev is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Jones has just dragged him back down to the mat. Jones working the ground and pound from side control. Losev looks to move to half guard but instead Jones has passed into mount! Damn! Losev tries to get back to half guard but can't. Losev wants to control but Jones is having none of it. Losev's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. Losev tries to hold on but Jones pushes him away. Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jones won't let Losev get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Jones content just to control the position here. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Losev can do anything to dispel that myth. This has been an exciting period of action! Losev wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Jones extends the arm and Losev is forced to tap!

A relieved looking Jon Jones thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it. In defeat, Nikolai Losev stepped up to the mic, saying 'I will come back stronger, faster, scooter! By the way, how much is the fish?'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Quan throws a front kick aimed at Sonnen's knee but Sonnen avoids it well. Quan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sonnen's waist but Sonnen gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Quan off to one side. Quan throws the kick towards the body but Sonnen avoids it. Quan looks for the body kick but Sonnen saw that one coming. Quan doesn't succeed with the takedown and Sonnen counters with a nice double leg into side control. Quan won't be happy with that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The strikes coming from Sonnen are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Sonnen lands a nice forearm strike. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Quan taking a bit of punishment here - Sonnen scoring with strikes.
It looks like Juan Quan has been cut. Quan takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Barabas is rocked! Cruzado thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Oh Barabas is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Still in half guard, Cruzado seems content to control. Barabas seems to have got his legs back now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Barabas lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Cruzado has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Cruzado and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Barabas throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Barabas throws a jab when Cruzado was well out of range. Cruzado cracks Barabas with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. A jab from Cruzado finds it's way through Barabas's defenses. Cruzado throws a series of punches but Barabas moves out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cruzado sitting in guard here, content to control.

Cruzado throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Barabas. Cruzado uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Barabas. Barabas connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Barabas throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Barabas goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Cruzado connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Cruzado throws a right hand that Barabas ducks under and follows up with a left that Barabas also avoids with ease. Barabas looks for the body kick but Cruzado saw that one coming. Cruzado moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Cruzado bobbing and weaving well here. And he's unloaded with a massive right hand that drops Barabas! He dives into his guard looking to finish!
Barabas on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Barabas tries to get out of the position. Barabas is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pimentel connects with a right hand. Crain shakes it off. Pimentel tries a low kick but Crain avoids it. A low kick from Pimentel is predictable there and Crain counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Pimentel instigates a clinch. Pimentel is working Crain over against the cage. Pimentel tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Pimentel trying to stall but Crain improves his position.
Crain is trying to break the clinch but Pimentel is controlling him. Pimentel avoiding damage.

Pimentel definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Pimentel is keen to just control but Crain is a slippery customer. Pimentel looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Crain tries to get to full guard but Pimentel has control of the leg.

Crain kicks off Pimentel and gets to his feet. Pimentel feints a jab promting Crain to slip. Pimentel then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Crain slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pimentel throws a leg kick but Crain moved away. Pimentel misses with a low kick. Pimentel forces Crain back against the cage and clinches. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Crain's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Crain throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Crain is working for takedown but Pimentel is calmly controlling the position for now. Crain wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. With the fighters up against the cage, Pimentel throws an elbow but misses. The referee is keeping an eye on Pimentel - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Crain dives in and grabs Pimentel 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pimentel pushes down on Crain's head and hops out. Pimentel wants to clinch. Pimentel lands a two punch combo.
