14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wasim Kayani! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kayani lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Kayani. Sam Hart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hart throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hart throws out a leg kick but Kayani moves out of range and Hart only half commits. Hart throws a low kick but Kayani moves out of range easily. Kayani lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Hart fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Kayani is out of range. Kayani misses with a hook. Kayani moves out of range of the body kick from Hart.
Hart pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kayani is out of range and Hart settles back down. Kayani steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Hart. That one must have hurt. Kayani fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hart has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Hart lets loose with a powerful body kick. Kayani will feel that in the morning. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Hart pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Hart scores with a push kick. Kayani throws out a loose jab but Hart uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kayani displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Hart. Kayani slaps away a takedown attempt from Hart, before circling back to the center of the mat. Hart moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Kayani throws a nice looking combination but Hart bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Good work by Hart as he checks the leg kick. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Kayani has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Kayani scores with a shot to the body.

Hart moves out of range of the strikes. Kayani tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hart was well out of range. Poor timing from Kayani. Kayani throws a hook but Hart avoids it easily.

Kayani looks to land a combination but Hart avoids it well. Kayani keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hart has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sam Hart. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kayani uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hart.

Kayani tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kayani lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Hart thows a body shot but no joy. Hart shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kayani as he avoids it easily. Kayani throws a shot from downtown. Hart moves away and avoids it. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Kayani.

That was a close round but I would say that Sam Hart will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Jacobs shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jacobs avoids a low kick by using good footwork. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Still in half guard, Kyle seems content to control. Rapp slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Kyle throws an elbow that misses. Rapp uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kyle's guard. Nice move by Rapp! Rapp must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bubby swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Gracie counters with a single leg into guard. Bubby didn't expect that. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Gracie missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Bubby keeping moving, preventing Gracie from controlling successfully. Gracie postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Gracie throwing strikes from guard but Bubby blocks nicely. Gracie not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Gracie has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bubby can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gracie is looking to escape. Gracie tries to land a front kick but Bubby steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Gracie throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bubby's waist but Bubby gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gracie off to one side. Gracie takes a jab right on the kisser.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gracie checks a leg kick. Bubby swings for the body but Gracie moves out of range.
Boy Bubby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gracie moves out of range of the leg kick from Bubby. Gracie takes a body punch but keeps moving. Bubby uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gracie.
Gracie throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bubby stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Gracie slips under a jab from Bubby. Bubby jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gracie misses with a wild body shot. Gracie is looking to wear down Bubby with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Bubby uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bubby keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

That was a close second round but I would say that Ricardo Gracie will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Bubby lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gracie has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gracie and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Bubby throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Bubby swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Gracie looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Bubby tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gracie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Boy Bubby seems to be getting the better of the standup. Bubby cracks Gracie with a right hand to the side of the head. Bubby gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Bubby tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gracie was well out of range. Poor timing from Bubby. Gracie keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Bubby fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Gracie, pushing him back against the cage. The referee is keeping an eye on Bubby - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
