Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gennakin Golovdy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Golovdy might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to A New Beginning by Audiomachine. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lapikov is looking to chop away at Damtea's legs.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Damtea with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Lapikov to score with a decent uppercut.

Lapikov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Damtea was covering up waiting for the punch and Lapikov finishes the takedown easily into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Lapikov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Damtea has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lapikov has managed to get both his arms back between Damtea's legs - danger averted.

Lapikov cracks Damtea with an uppercut from hell and Damtea crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Lapikov's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Damtea holds on and takes a little breather.
Lapikov gets to his feet and stands over Damtea, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Damtea felt that one! Lapikov unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Damtea from any more punishment!

A bone on bone clash there as Chomsky blocks the leg kick.
Chomsky shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Oblaks shoots and misses
and Chomsky cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Chomsky slaps away a takedown attempt from Oblaks, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Oblaks with a lazy takedown attempt
and Chomsky counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Oblaks off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Chomsky follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Oblaks was out before he hit the floor.
