9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Yi Liu ! The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ding avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Ding lands a high kick!
It looks like Yi Liu has been cut. Liu throws a leg kick which misses Ding's front leg but catches the back leg as Ding tries to avoid it. Ding throws a right and a left that Liu avoids nicely. Ding takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Liu lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Liu fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ding looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Liu pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Ding avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Our sources have told us that Ding has been working on his elbows in the gym. Ding breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ding moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Liu looks to land a left hand but Ding moved out of range nicely. Liu dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Liu showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ding.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ding blocks a jab. Liu lands a body shot.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Liu enables Ding to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Liu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Ding trying to control but Liu is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Liu is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ding throws a big elbow that misses. Ding trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Liu has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ding can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Ding wants to control from the top but Liu keeps moving. Ding is fighting to break Liu 's control of his arms but Liu is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Ding wants to stand but Liu is controlling his posture from full guard. Ding has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Ding tries to close the distance and clinch but Liu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ding keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Liu wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Yi Liu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Liu misses the shot to the body. Ding moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Ding tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Liu paws at him with a jab and circles away. Liu loads up on a big right hand but Ding slips the punch. Ding gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Liu takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Liu looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ding is fending him off so far but Liu persists. Nope, Ding circles away and we're back to standing. Dick Ding has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yi Liu . Liu is looking to score with low kicks. Ding is looking to slow Liu down with leg kicks. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Liu throws a low kick but Ding avoids it. A shot to the liver by Ding. Beautiful body shot.

Ding will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Liu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Ding connects with a couple of short punches. Ding moves out of range of the strikes. Liu throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ding walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Liu checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Liu throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Some wild striking there from Ding.

Ding bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Liu misses with a low kick.

Ding pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Liu back to the cage. Ding follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Liu closes the distance and clinches. Ding takes a shot to the head. Ding breaks from the clinch.

and Ding counters with a two punch combo. This has been an exciting period of action! Liu punishes Ding's body with a nice straight punch.

Liu thows a body shot but no joy. Liu slips under a jab from Ding. A nice inside leg kick there by Liu . That's going to slow Ding down. Liu swings away with a leg kick that misses. Ding avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ding is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight. Liu stuffs the takedown attempt from Ding. Ding gets slowly back to his feet. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ding fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dick Ding. That's going to take a lot out of him. Ding uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Liu .
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Yi Liu . Well Liu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rockzo ducks under a wild hook from Kaz. Rockzo connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kaz. Kaz circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Kaz rushes Rockzo and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Rockzo is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kaz gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Kaz lands a knee to the body.
Kaz prevents a body shot from Rockzo. Kaz softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Kaz makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Kaz definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Rockzo drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Kaz gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Rockzo drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kaz manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rockzo has Kaz in his guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Diotte. Diotte misses with a low kick as Saruwatari jumps back. Diotte's coach down at Montreal's Finest was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Diotte's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Saruwatari is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Diotte checks a low kick from Saruwatari. A big right from Saruwatari misses. Saruwatari fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Diotte on the side of the head. Diotte throws a chopping leg kick but Saruwatari manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Saruwatari takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Kaito Saruwatari has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Saruwatari throws a hook to the side of Diotte's head but Diotte sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Saruwatari.
Saruwatari tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Diotte connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Saruwatari lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Diotte circles away quickly and effectively. Saruwatari throws an off balance right hand
and Diotte counters with a crisp right hand that drops Saruwatari! Diotte lets Saruwatari back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Saruwatari is rocked! Saruwatari cracks Diotte with an open hand slap. Oh Saruwatari is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Diotte connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Saruwatari to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Diotte!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Warzecha keeps the fight on the outside. Warzecha throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Warzecha avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Perez looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Perez lands with a cross. Warzecha throws a head kick that Perez semi-blocks.
Perez swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Warzecha connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Warzecha definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Warzecha staying out of range there. Warzecha avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A looping hook to the body misses from Perez. Warzecha does a little dance to reset his feet. The fighters circling - Perez throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Warzecha lands with an uppercut that bounces Perez off the cage and back into range. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Warzecha drives through with a takedown into Perez's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Perez wants to sweep but no luck. Perez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Warzecha working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Perez wants to sweep but no luck. Warzecha tries to free his leg and advance position but Perez is retaining full guard. Warzecha trying to control but Perez is working from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Perez trying to control the position.

Warzecha lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Warzecha working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Perez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Perez trying to control the pace. Perez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Warzecha does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Davis throws a hook to the side of Parts's head but Parts sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Parts tries to work over Davis's front leg with a kick but Davis checks it. Davis uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Parts. Parts showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Davis.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Hammer working over Silva with some ground and pound. Silva looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Troc fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Witt manages to avoid it. Witt is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Troc's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Witt throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Troc stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Witt lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Troc scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Nice body punch from Witt. Witt fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Troc looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Troc throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Witt's head. Witt takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Trang Troc seems to be getting the better of the standup. Troc keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Witt shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Troc loads up on a big right hand but Witt slips the punch. Witt thows a leg kick but Troc checks it and Troc counters with a one-two to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Troc looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williams cracks Dos Equis Guy with an open hand slap. Dos Equis Guy uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Williams has time to react. Williams with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Dos Equis Guy to score with a decent uppercut. Dos Equis Guy ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Williams misses with a looping right. Dos Equis Guy connects with a single shot there. Dos Equis Guy dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Williams. That did some damage! Zivic is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Waterson is controlling him. We've been hearing good reports from Waterson's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
