The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Collins pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Munch really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Collins with a nice cross. Munch shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Collins as he avoids it easily. Collins cracks Munch with a big right hand and Munch goes down! Munch will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Collins postures up in Munch's guard and throws a big left but Munch blocks it. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Collins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Collins loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Collins throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Collins is looking to work some ground and pound but Munch has wrist control. and Munch cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Collins throws a lazy right hand but Munch sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Munch uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Collins. Collins swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Collins misses with a two punch combination.

Munch throws a body shot but no joy. Munch catches Collins napping and connects with a big right hand that sends Collins to the canvas!

Munch working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Collins keeping moving, preventing Munch from controlling successfully. Collins seems to have recovered his senses. Munch loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Munch trying to stand up but can't free himself from Collins's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Munch postures up in Collins's guard and throws a big left but Collins blocks it. Collins is defending well but Munch drives through and ends up in Collins's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Munch passes Collins's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Munch throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Collins avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Munch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that John Munch will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

A shot to the body from Collins misses and Munch counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Collins wants to stand and escape but Munch is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Munch throwing strikes but missing. Munch engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Munch throws an elbow that misses. Collins uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Munch's guard. Nice move by Collins!
That's one minute gone in the round. Munch utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Munch has a closed guard, preventing Collins from standing up. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Collins accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Munch kicks Collins off and gets to his feet. Collins misses with a right hand and Munch counters with a hugh head kick that removes Collins from consiousness! A brutal head kick knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). John Munch! A relieved looking John Munch thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The Lion throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Blackwing closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Blackwing working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The Lion tries to buck Blackwing off but Blackwing is having none of it. The Lion holds on to Blackwing's head and controls the position momentarily. The Lion wants to control but Blackwing postures up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Blackwing working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Blackwing has hold of The Lion's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! The Lion tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Blackwing cranks the arm and The Lion screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from The Lion, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Wrathion Blackwing! A relieved looking Wrathion Blackwing thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Laakkonen has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Laakkonen fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Marshall manages to avoid it. Laakkonen misses with a looping right. Marshall takes a jab on the nose there. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Brawler is trying to work for a sweep but Dingleberry has mounted him! Brawler loads up on a big right hand but Dingleberry slips the punch. Brawler with a jab. Brooklyn Brawler is winning the standup battle so far. Brawler looks to land a combination but Dingleberry avoids it well. Brawler works Dingleberry's body with a nice hook. Dingleberry takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
