Newton thuds his right hand into Larndorf's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Larndorf glances at the clock... BAM! Newton nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Larndorf crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Larndorf is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Chalas throws a chopping leg kick but Abbott manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Chalas rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Abbott moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Abbott lands a right hook to the body.
Abbott misses with a hook.
Abbott slips under a jab.
Chalas displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Abbott throws out the jab.
OH! Chalas has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Abbott smells blood and charges in for the finish! Abbott unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Chalas sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turshatov darts in looking for a takedown but Chulainn gets double underhooks and turns Turshatov into the cage.
Chulainn works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Turshatov tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Chulainn just stands there and leans against the cage.
Chulainn lands a nice uppercut.
Chulainn tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Chulainn is pressed up against the cage. Turshatov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Chulainn down to the mat. Chulainn avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexey Turshatov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chulainn is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Turshatov ducks under a wild hook from Chulainn.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Turshatov fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chulainn avoids it really well and circles away.

Chulainn gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Chulainn wants to stand but Turshatov is controlling the position.

Chulainn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Turshatov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Turshatov slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Turshatov is working to tighten his grip on Chulainn's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Chulainn has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Turshatov is really squeezing tight and eventually Chulainn passes out! Turshatov breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
