3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Murska Puro! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Anni Minnemäki and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puro throws a body kick that misses. Dan Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Puro slips a straight right by Ross. Puro thinks about the counter body kick. Puro on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Ross dips down and scores with a jab to the body. A jab from Ross finds it's way through Puro's defenses. Ross fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Ross cracks Puro with a good jab. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Ross. Ross scores with a punch to the head. Puro lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Puro takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Puro takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Ross scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Puro doesn't seem bothered though. Puro waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Ross. Ross lands a really nice looking cross but Puro seems unphased.
Puro tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ross paws at him with a jab and circles away. Ross fires out a quick counter leg kick but Puro just manages to avoid it. Puro turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Ross cracks Puro with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Puro is rocked! Puro moves out of range as Ross strikes. Puro is still on wobbly legs! Can Ross finish him?
That's one minute gone in the round. Ross misses with a straight right. Puro seems to have recovered his senses. Ross shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Puro is trying to defend but Ross finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Ross content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Puro really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ross. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Ross is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Ross not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ross maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Puro could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Ross has cracked it and Puro is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Ross!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Dan Ross! Dan Ross spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

Miyamoto is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Silava is defending well for now. Silava creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Silava avoids the elbow strike from Miyamoto, against the cage.

We've been informed that Silava has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Miyamoto effectively controlling the action here.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Santana moves out of range of the leg kick from Green. Green throws the kick towards the body but Santana avoids it. Green gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Santana scores with a shoulder strike. Green is trying to maintain a safe position but Santana gets an underhook and turns Green into the cage. Santana throws a head punch that misses. Santana swings wildly with an uppercut but Green uses good head movement to avoid it. Green lands a hook to the side of the head. Santana lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Santana working some nice short punches in the clinch. Santana misses with a hook to the ribs.

Green breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Santana connects with a crisp jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Santana checks a leg kick. Santana clinches with his opponent.

Green pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Santana throws a quick inside leg kick. Santana connects with a looping right hand.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Santana keeping moving, preventing Green from controlling successfully. Santana is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Green is controlling him. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Green throws a big elbow that misses.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Green shoots in for a takedown but Santana shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Green on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

It looked like Santana wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Santana throws a leg kick and Green counters with a single leg into guard. Santana didn't expect that. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Santana wants to get back to his feet but Green is in a dominant position and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ricardo Santana will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jeffery Green's cut. That's time! Santana's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Green connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Green throws a leg kick which misses Santana's front leg but catches the back leg as Santana tries to avoid it. Green feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Green accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Santana wants to stand up but Green is controlling him. Green wants to control from the top but Santana keeps moving. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Green prevents Santana from getting back to his feet. Santana preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Santana wants to get back to his feet but Green is in a dominant position and won't allow it. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Santana checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Green misses with a takedown attempt - Santana sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Santana swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Santana loads up on a big right hand but Green slips the punch. Green bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Santana tries to land a front kick but Green steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Santana throws a hook to the side of Green's head but Green sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Green misses with a wild body shot. Sloppy strikes from Green. Those never looked like landing. Green fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Green shoots in for a double leg but Santana sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Ricardo Santana is winning the standup battle so far. Green stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Santana. Santana misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Green feints and then cracks Santana's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Santana down. An inside leg kick lands from Green. Santana blocks the body kick.
A little feinted left hand from Santana on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Green lands with a right hand. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Green moves away from the strike by Santana. Green ducks under a wild hook from Santana. Good shot there by Santana. Santana pulls out of a head kick attempt.

and Green counters with a takedown into side control. Green trying to control the action but Santana is working from the bottom. Green wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Santana, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Green cracks Santana with a big right hand but Santana just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Santana wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Green trying to control the action but Santana is working from the bottom. Green misses with the ground and pound. Green sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Santana is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Green is looking to take a break and control but Santana is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Santana is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Green looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Santana is avoiding damage well.
Green is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Santana knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Green looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Green's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Santana connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Green scrambles back to his feet. Green slips under a jab. Green lands with a nice combination. Santana backs away looking to recover. Green scores with a head kick.

Green has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Santana is trying to keep an underhook but Green manages to get the takedown into half guard. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Green looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Santana with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Green wants to advance to full mount but Santana doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Green tries to free his leg and advance position but Santana is retaining full guard. Santana wants to stand up but Green is controlling him. Green throws a strike but Santana rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Santana wanted to stand there but Green had control of the position. Green looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Green seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Santana wants to get up but he can't break Green's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Green wants to sweep here but Santana controlling him for the moment. Green has a closed guard, preventing Santana from standing up. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Green lands a body shot.

Green wants to control from the top but Santana keeps moving. Santana wants to stand up but Green is controlling him. Santana will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Green makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Green accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Santana avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santana is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Green is controlling him. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Santana working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Green.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Green throws a push kick but Santana slaps the foot to one side. Green has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Santana has managed to clinch.
Green breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Santana misses with a hook. Green takes a swing at Santana's ribcage but misses. Green with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Santana to score with a decent uppercut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Green drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Green's corner is telling him to maintain position.
And that's the end of the fight! Jeffery Green comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Green has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

17 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kamala Naamahaara! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Naamahaara throws a sloppy head kick and Mctanned counters with a single leg into guard. Naamahaara didn't expect that. Mctanned showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Mctanned throws a big elbow that misses. Mctanned passes Naamahaara's left leg - he's now in half guard. Naamahaara keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mctanned passes to side control. The strikes coming from Mctanned are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Naamahaara takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mctanned lands an elbow. Naamahaara looks winded! Mctanned is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Naamahaara is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Mctanned connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Naamahaara some visible discomfort.
Mctanned working the ground and pound from side control. Mctanned wants to lay and pray for a moment but Naamahaara keeps working. Mctanned has an Americana. Naamahaara didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mctanned is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mctanned hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ventura lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Turpin moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Ventura tries a head kick but it misses.
Left hook, right uppercut from Ventura. We've been informed that Turpin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Ventura throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Ventura walks into a straight right hand from Turpin. Turpin blocks a head kick by Ventura.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Turpin, right into the meat.
Turpin connects with a looping right hand.
Turpin lands a big head kick that sends Ventura tumbling to the mat! Turpin takes a step backwards and waves Ventura back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Ventura is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Turpin is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ventura. Oh Ventura is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Ventura feints a jab promting Turpin to slip. Ventura then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Turpin slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Turpin fakes the body blow, causing Ventura to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Ventura goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Randolph Turpin! Randolph Turpin is the new heavyweight champion! Randolph Turpin decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
