Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Natanael (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Channing Mackenzie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mackenzie has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Natanael throws a leg kick

and Mackenzie counters by moving into the clinch.
Natanael has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Mackenzie is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Natanael feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Mackenzies jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Natanael looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Natanael drops his shoulder and cracks Mackenzie with a huge uppercut! Mackenzie goes down! Can Natanael finish him?

It looks like Channing Mackenzie has been cut.

Natanael is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Natanael passes Mackenzie's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Natanael uses his free foot to push down on Mackenzie's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Mackenzie.
Mackenzie seems to have recovered his senses.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mackenzie can do anything to dispel that myth.
