1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chad Pierre! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pierre checks the leg kick. Pierre looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Aoki will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Horrible takedown by Aoki or perhaps it was just good defense by Pierre which made him look bad. Aoki closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pierre to the mat! Pierre manages to get full guard. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Aoki thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Aoki tries to free his leg and advance position but Pierre is retaining full guard. Aoki drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Aoki jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Pierre is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Aoki seems to have locked his on tight now - Pierre screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Aoki, as he picks up the win!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lecci tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gilstrap swats him away and circles back towards the center. Lecci looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Gilstrap keeps the fight on the outside. Gilstrap fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Costa could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Costa looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Costa looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Dragon has picked Costa up and slammed him! Costa can't keep hold of the triangle and Dragon manages to pass to side control! Costa gets back to half guard. Dragon wants to stand but Costa has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kruiliansky with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mitchell to score with a decent uppercut. Mitchell throws a right and a left that both miss. Kruiliansky avoids a punch combination nicely.
