Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ted Mosby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonah Sumrall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sumrall is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Kutless - Smile. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jonah Sumrall! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mosby tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sumrall was well out of range. Poor timing from Mosby. Mosby tries to clinch but Sumrall moves out of range. Sumrall flicks out a counter leg kick but Mosby steps away. Mosby throws a body shot but no joy. Mosby will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Mosby looks to score with a jab to the body but Sumrall is just out of range. Sumrall is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Mosby motions for Sumrall to come forward. Mosby throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Sumrall is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Mosby throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sumrall looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mosby tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mosby fails with an attempt to clinch.

letting Sumrall counter with a right hand. Sumrall checks the leg kick. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mosby lands with a kick to the temple. Sumrall shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Mosby swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Sumrall! But no joy.

Mosby throws a body shot but no joy. The fight stays on the outside here - Mosby looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Sumrall raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Mosby looks to throw a body kick and Mosby takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Sumrall swats away the attempt to clinch by Mosby. Sumrall looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Mosby throws a hook to the side of Sumrall's head but Sumrall sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Sumrall takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Mosby is looking to wear down Sumrall with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Mosby throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sumrall throws a fast counter high kick but Mosby manages to duck under it in time. Mosby lands a nice hook to Sumrall's body. Sumrall takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Mosby fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Sumrall has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Mosby throws a lazy uppercut
and Sumrall counters with a straight right hand. Ted Mosby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A chopping leg kick lands by Mosby. Mosby looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Mosby throws a lazy head kick and Mosby takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Mosby is looking to clinch. Sumrall tries a quick counter leg kick but Mosby is wise to it. Mosby scores with a nice head shot. Mosby feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Sumralls jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Mosby misses with a left hand letting Sumrall counter with a right hand. Mosby jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Mosby throws a sloppy head kick and Sumrall moves out of range easily. Sumrall is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A slapping body kick lands there for Mosby. Sumrall moves out of range of the strikes. Sumrall throws a fast counter high kick but Mosby manages to duck under it in time. A slapping leg kick lands for Mosby.
Mosby looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Sumrall with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Mosby to score with a decent uppercut. Mosby lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A head kick misses from Mosby. Sumrall shapes to counter with a head kick. That kick from Mosby tenderised Sumrall's leg. Sumrall is trying to keep his angry face on. Mosby misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mosby tries to clinch up but Sumrall circles away and keeps his distance. Mosby backing away here, and Sumrall unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Mosby takes a swing at Sumrall's ribcage but misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sumrall doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Mosby lands a glancing blow to the side of Sumrall's head. Mosby has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Mosby looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Mosby is looking to slow Sumrall down with leg kicks. Mosby tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sumrall paws at him with a jab and circles away. Mosby moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromSumrall. Mosby tries to clinch but Sumrall moves out of range. Sumrall appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick. Some bone on bone action there as Sumrall checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Mosby moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromSumrall.

Mosby is rocked! Mosby thows a leg kick but Sumrall checks it and Sumrall counters with a huge right that knocks Mosby out cold! Sumrall is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kharitonov throws a push kick but Beckett slaps the foot to one side. Beckett throws the kick towards the body but Kharitonov avoids it. Kharitonov fakes the leg kick and cracks Beckett in the body. A head kick misses from Beckett. Kharitonov with a nice cross. Kharitonov lands a really nice looking cross but Beckett seems unphased.
Kharitonov throws a lazy right hand but Beckett sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Kharitonov throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Beckett counters with a lovely straight right hand! A good leg kick by Beckett. A head kick misses from Kharitonov. Beckett throws a hook but Kharitonov avoids it easily. Beckett lands with a right hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Kharitonov slips under a jab from Beckett. Kharitonov scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Kharitonov sees it coming and avoids it easily. Kharitonov plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Kharitonov misses with a body kick. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Beckett crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kharitonov - the referee stops the clock and Beckett gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kharitonov. Beckett manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Kharitonov ducks right into an uppercut from Beckett. Kharitonov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Beckett pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Kharitonov misses with a body kick. No luck for Beckett with that takedown attempt. Kharitonov misses with a low kick. Kharitonov checks the leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kharitonov lands a leg kick that knocks Beckett off balance momentarily. Beckett looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Kharitonov misses with a head kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Good shot there by Beckett. Kharitonov avoids the body shot from Beckett.

Beckett on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Kharitonov throws a low kick, looking for Beckett's leg but Beckett calmly moves out of range. A bone on bone clash there as Beckett blocks the leg kick.
Kharitonov knocks Beckett to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!? Kharitonov tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Sloppy strikes there by Kharitonov. Beckett tries to bench press Kharitonov off him but Kharitonov keeps the position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kharitonov looks up at the clock and then as Beckett takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Kharitonov smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Beckett prevents Kharitonov from improving position. Beckett is trying to control Kharitonov's posture but Kharitonov avoids it. Kharitonov controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beckett is looking to reverse the position. Kharitonov trying to control the action but Beckett is working from the bottom. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kharitonov advances to full mount. Beckett sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Kharitonov wants to take a breather but Beckett is having none of it. Kharitonov is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Kharitonov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Beckett has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kharitonov is working away from the top position though. Kharitonov content to control rather than advance.

Beckett is trying to maintain the position but Kharitonov is very close to passing his half guard. Beckett is controlling Kharitonov's trapped leg to prevent Kharitonov from advancing to side control.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Kharitonov jabbing away but nothing is landing. Beckett shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kharitonov is trying to defend but Beckett finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Beckett is trying to control. Kharitonov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Beckett thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Kharitonov's head. Kharitonov has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Beckett throwing shots but Kharitonov is blocking nicely. Kharitonov gets back to full guard.

Kharitonov is trying to control the position but Beckett postures up. Kharitonov might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Beckett haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Kharitonov swings away with a leg kick that misses. Kharitonov uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Beckett. Kharitonov throws a hook but Beckett avoids it easily. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kharitonov. Kharitonov scores with a kick to the midsection. Beckett will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body. Beckett connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. This has been an exciting period of action! Kharitonov scoring well with a low kick there.
Beckett takes a shot right to the bread basket. Kharitonov throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Beckett's head. Beckett blocks a head kick by Kharitonov.
Beckett attempts a counter takedown but Kharitonov avoids it well and moves away. Beckett moves out of range of the body kick from Kharitonov.

And that's the end of the fight! Vladimir Kharitonov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Kharitonov winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

We've been informed that McCall has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. A looping hook to the body misses from McCall. Trevino does a little dance to reset his feet. Trevino feinted with a counter takedown. Trevino drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. A jab lands there for Trevino. Trevino swings for the body but McCall moves out of range.

Patton crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Quintana - the referee stops the clock and Patton gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Quintana. Patton manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Patton throws the kick towards the body but Quintana avoids it. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
