6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dakota Martin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mirko Radic! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martin on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Radic throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Martin throws a low kick but Radic moves out of range easily. Radic has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Martin jabs at Radic's body. Martin throws a series of punches but Radic moves out of range. Martin scores with a jab. A right-left combo lands from Martin.
It looks like Mirko Radic has been cut. Radic fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Martin on the side of the head. Martin tries to land a front kick but Radic steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Martin getting the better of the striking in that exchange. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Radic darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Radic misses with a head kick.

Martin landing some decent shots from guard. Martin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Radic escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Martin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Radic working for a triangle but Martin defends it easily.

Radic looking to hit a scissor sweep but Martin is one step ahead there. Martin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Martin throwing strikes but missing. Radic escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Martin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Martin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Radic has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Martin has managed to get both his arms back between Radic's legs - danger averted. Radic not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Radic staying out of range there. Dakota Martin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Martin waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Radic. A slow jab from Radic misses its intended target. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Martin throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Nice defenses there by Radic. Martin stalks Radic and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Radic's face. Radic staggers backwards, shaken. Radic shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Martin misses with a series of wild punches.
Radic looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. Martin uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Radic has time to react.

Dakota Martin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mirko Radic's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A chopping leg kick lands by Martin. Martin throws a lazy right hand but Radic sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Dakota Martin is winning the standup battle so far. Radic throws a sloppy head kick and Martin moves out of range easily. A bone on bone clash there as Martin blocks the leg kick.
Martin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Radic can do to turn this around? Martin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Radic circles away quickly and effectively. Martin avoids a kick to the body.
Martin dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Martin with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Dakota Martin is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Radic keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Martin throws a series of punches but Radic avoids them all with ease. Martin takes a swing at Radic's ribcage but misses. A low kick from Martin misses and Radic connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Radic scores with a kick to the midsection. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Radic moves away from the strike by Martin. Martin throws a series of strikes that have Radic backpedaling.
Radic throws a jab when Martin was well out of range. Martin throws a big counter combination but Radic scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Martin tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Dakota Martin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters circling - Radic throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Radic scores with a jab to the head.
Martin throws a jab when Radic was well out of range. Martin shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Martin throws a right hand that Radic ducks under and follows up with a left that Radic also avoids with ease. Martin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Radic changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Martin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Radic wants to control but Martin is keeping him busy. Martin avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Radic. Radic seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Martin does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Radic not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Martin is looking for a sweep. Radic is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Radic on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Radic throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Radic blocks a head kick by Martin.

and Radic counters with a nice uppercut. Radic throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Radic delivers a nice body kick. This has been an exciting period of action! Radic shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Martin but Martin pushes him off and we're back to square one. Martin looks to land a combination but Radic avoids it well. Radic slips a jab and a cross from Martin.
Radic dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Radic throws a sloppy head kick and Martin moves out of range easily. Radic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A head kick misses from Martin. Radic takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Nice uppercut lands for Radic. That snapped Martin's head back.

Radic lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Radic lands a leg kick that knocks Martin off balance momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mirko Radic showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Mirko Radic's cut. That's time! Martin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Nice defenses there by Radic. Good work by Martin as he checks the leg kick. Radic's jab looks to have found its range, popping Martin under the eye. Radic slips a jab and a cross from Martin.
Martin's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Radic connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Martin scrambles back to his feet. Radic scores with a spinning back kick! Radic throws a leg kick which misses Martin's front leg but catches the back leg as Martin tries to avoid it. Radic connects with a solid leg kick. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Martin. Martin backing away here, and Radic unleashes a leg kick that just misses. Martin scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Radic slips a straight right by Martin. Martin throws an overhand right that lands on Radic's shoulder, as Radic tries to avoid the shot. A little jabbing left from Radic on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

A big left from Martin misses. Radic throws a wild body kick that Martin sees coming a mile off. Radic dodges the punch combination from Martin.
A lazy left from Radic finds it's target. Martin misses with a hook. Radic ducked under it nicely. Radic shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Martin manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Radic is looking to work some ground and pound but Martin has wrist control. Martin utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Radic postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Radic throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Martin works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Radic throws an elbow that misses. Martin uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Radic's guard. Nice move by Martin!
Radic is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Martin is aware though and is defending well. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Radic is trying to control the position but Martin postures up. Martin trying to control the position from guard on top but Radic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Martin stacks Radic on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Martin! Radic can't do much from the bottom here. Radic is trying to improve his position. Martin scores with punches from side control. Martin is chipping away with strikes.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Mirko Radic. Well Radic has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Tripper is stalling in the full guard. Tripper stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Jakovlev swivels though and keeps the full guard. Jakovlev was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Tripper throws a shot from downtown. Jakovlev moves away and avoids it. Tripper feints and then cracks Jakovlev's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Jakovlev down. Jakovlev looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Jakovlev walks into a jab. A bone on bone clash there as Jakovlev blocks the leg kick.
Tripper misses with a low kick as Jakovlev jumps back. Jakovlev fails with a takedown attempt. Tripper is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Petr Jakovlev. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jakovlev throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Soderberg wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Anderson shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Anderson misses with a low kick as Soderberg jumps back. Anderson with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
A low kick from Anderson misses and Soderberg decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Anderson's guard. Soderberg won't allow Anderson to sweep him here. Soderberg trying to control but Anderson is working from the bottom. Soderberg slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. You can see the frustration on Anderson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anderson is looking for a sweep. Soderberg is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Anderson has escaped the position, nice work there. Soderberg tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Soderberg's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Both fighters circling a little - Anderson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Anderson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Anderson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Soderberg can do to turn this around? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Anderson throws a head kick but Soderberg moves out of range.

Anderson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Mr Anderson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Soderberg takes a body punch but keeps moving. Anderson misses with a body kick. Soderberg takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anderson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Soderberg gets back to full guard.

Anderson is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Soderberg. Anderson controlling the position from side mount. Soderberg trying to control but Anderson flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! What can Soderberg do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

You can see the frustration on Soderberg's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Hunt takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Bessmertin slips under a jab from Hunt. Bessmertin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. An inside leg kick lands from Hunt. Bessmertin moves out of range of the strikes. Bessmertin attempts a counter takedown but Hunt avoids it well and moves away.

Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Taticzek stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. State Jr. slips under a jab from Taticzek. Taticzek gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Taticzek keeping full guard, as State Jr. tries to pass. Taticzek has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Taticzek's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! State Jr. preventing the sweep.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Taticzek is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Taticzek has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Linna checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Linna has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Linna tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Pei is able to avoid easily. Pei throws a low kick, looking for Linna's leg but Linna calmly moves out of range. Oliveira misses with a hook to the ribs.

McGee is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. McGee lands with a good body shot. McGee lands a big right hand that sends Oliveira crashing to the mat! McGee stays standing though and waves Oliveira back to his feet!
Oliveira is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Oliveira switches off momentarily and McGee cracks him with a monster right hand!
