Ontario comes into the arena with VHB - Freedom Fighter blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Alvarez stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Alvarez wants it to stay on the feet.
St Lazarus keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Alvarez blocks a low kick nicely.
St Lazarus misses with an attempted mid kick.
Alvarez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
St Lazarus throws a leg kick but Alvarez checks it.
Alvarez drops down looking for a counter takedown but St Lazarus sprawls and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
St Lazarus has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Alvarez finds it's way round the side to connect with St Lazarus's head.
St Lazarus shoots for a double leg takedown but Alvarez sprawls well. He's pushed St Lazarus's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Alvarez closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming St Lazarus to the mat! St Lazarus manages to get full guard.
