32 - 21 - 4, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wedge Xiii! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Symons digs a good body shot into Xiii's ribs. Xiii is trying hard to land a takedown here. Symons sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Xiii has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Xiii shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Symons throws a hook to the side of Xiii's head but Xiii sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Symons throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Xiii fails with a takedown attempt. Graeme Symons has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wedge Xiii. Symons tries to sprawl but Xiii drives through with a takedown into half guard. Symons moves into full guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Runkputte is looking to land body kicks. Good shot there by Runkputte.
It looks like Trey Golden has been cut. Golden uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Runkputte.
Golden throws a leg kick but Runkputte checks it. Jorde Runkputte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Runkputte lands a left and a right that send Golden crashing to the mat, dazed. Runkputte thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Olonga uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Perkele. Olonga thows a left - swing and a miss! Perkele on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Perkele wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Olonga connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Olonga lands a nice hook to Perkele's body. Perkele takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Olonga scores with a jab to the body. Perkele takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Perkele throws a hook but Olonga blocks it. Perkele is still on wobbly legs! Can Olonga finish him? Olonga is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Perkele flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Perkele is out cold! Olonga holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!

Shimizu fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Stein is out of range. As Shimizu looks to move away, Stein throws a big counter combo but Shimizu just gets out of the way. Shimizu lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Stein darts in looking for a takedown but Shimizu gets double underhooks and turns Stein into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ein Stein. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shimizu lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Stein misses the jab. Stein misses the shot to the body. Stein works Shimizu's body with a nice hook. Stein shoots in for a takedown but Shimizu shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Shimizu just misses with a punch to the body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steigelmann stuns Utu with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Steigelmann throws a jab when Utu was well out of range. Steigelmann seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Steigelmann might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Utu slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Steigelmann is adopting a defensive guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Utu won't allow Steigelmann to sweep him here.
