Undercard bout

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Yannick Abdoul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Weber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Abdoul might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to La Tchadienne. Yannick Abdoul looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weber misses with a takedown
and Abdoul counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Abdoul keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Weber shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Abdoul sprawls well. Abdoul wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Weber gets slowly back to his feet.
Yannick Abdoul has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michael Weber.
Abdoul shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Weber pinned against the cage. Weber gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Weber tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Weber looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Weber feints and as Abdoul raises his hands in defense, Weber changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Weber drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Abdoul dives on top into guard.

Abdoul is breathing heavily.
Abdoul throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Weber working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Abdoul doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Abdoul manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Abdoul is looking to work some ground and pound but Weber has wrist control.
Abdoul has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Weber has his foot on Abdoul's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Abdoul works his way back into a safe position though.

Weber escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Abdoul gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Weber has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Abdoul doesn't defend quickly enough and Weber has managed to lock this one up! Can Abdoul escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Weber on a fantastic submission victory.

Michael Weber spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.

Well Bell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
