0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rezafitra Irwan! The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Irwan listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
It looks like Pedro Diaz has been cut. Irwan scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Diaz takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Diaz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Diaz in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Diaz has just dragged him back down to the mat. Irwan tries to get back to half guard but can't. Irwan is looking for a sweep. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Diaz is looking to take a break and control but Irwan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Diaz stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Horrible takedown attempt by Diaz or perhaps it was just good defense by Irwan, which made it look bad. Irwan looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Irwan lands a head shot. Irwan lands a nice shot that snaps Diaz's head back.
Irwan connects with a body shot. Irwan scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Irwan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Diaz eats them both and turns towards Irwan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Irwan scores with a nice right hand.
Diaz is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Some wild striking there from Diaz.
Oh Diaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Diaz wants to clinch up but Irwan keeps it at a distance. Irwan now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Irwan cracks Diaz's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Diaz slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Irwan can do further damage! This one is done, son!

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Billy Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frankie Dupuit! The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Smith lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Dupuit throws a looping overhand right but Smith ducks down to avoid it. Dupuit throws an off balance right hand
enabling Smith to counter with a crisp jab. Smith swinging wildly here.
A little jabbing left from Dupuit on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Smith feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dupuits jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Smith lands the left hand. This has been an exciting period of action! Smith thuds his right hand into Dupuit's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Smith throws a left and a right that both miss
and Dupuit counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dupuit throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Smith is controlling Dupuit's trapped leg to prevent Dupuit from advancing to side control. Smith trying to hold on to Dupuit's head to control him but Dupuit postures up.
Dupuit seems to be looking for submissions.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Dupuit seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Smith does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Smith knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dupuit on the ground. Dupuit is working for a submission of some sort.
Smith has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Dupuit is on him like a limpet, forcing Smith back against the ropes.

Smith scores with a shoulder strike. Smith gets underhooks to prevent Dupuit's takedown attempt.
Smith lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. A quick uppercut on the inside from Smith. Smith prevents a takedown attempt there.
A short right from Smith. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Dupuit is trying to drag Smith to the mat but Smith just about manages to keep his footing. Dupuit doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Dupuit seems to have recovered his senses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice cross by Smith. Smith scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Billy Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Dupuit. Smith is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

Smith closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Dupuit! Smith dives in looking to finish! Dupuit is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

The Sock gets a clinch. The Sock prevents Nunes from breaking the clinch. Nunes breaks the clinch.
The Sock connects with a combination that backs up Nunes into the ropes. The Sock lands a flurry of punches that gets past Nunes 's guard. Nunes is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! The Sock bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Izumi tries to close the distance and clinch but Akhmetov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. A nice combination there by Akhmetov.
It looks like Kira Izumi has been cut. Akhmetov clinches. Izumi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Izumi shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Akhmetov sprawls well. Akhmetov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Izumi gets slowly back to his feet. Izumi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Akhmetov paws at him with a jab and circles away. Izumi takes the fight into the clinch. Izumi gets control of Akhmetov's arms and successfully pulls guard. Izumi will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Akhmetov controls the pace of the fight for a moment. As Akhmetov backs off Izumi throws a huge counter combo but Akhmetov manages to avoid it all. Akhmetov clinches with his opponent.

Izumi is looking to clinch. Akhmetov misses with a takedown attempt - Izumi sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Izumi showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Akhmetov.

The fight stays on the outside here - Izumi looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Akhmetov half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, CJ Risky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, CP Munk! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Ren Mimura and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Risky scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Munk looks for the body kick but Risky saw that one coming. Risky throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Munk sees it coming and avoids it easily. Munk slips a jab from Risky. Munk defending well as Risky loads up on a big left hand. Munk thumps Risky with a low kick. Munk lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Munk tries to close the distance and clinch but Risky swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Risky with a body punch. A glancing blow. Risky throws out a loose jab but Munk uses good head movement to avoid it. Munk tries a head kick but it misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Risky looks to land a right hand but Munk moved out of range. Munk's coach down at Cozad MMA Tokyo was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Munk's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Munk fails to land the takedown. Risky lands with a hook. Munk tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Risky. Those never looked like landing. Munk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Risky misses with a straight right. Munk looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Munk ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Munk tries to close the distance and clinch but Risky swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. CJ Risky seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Munk bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Risky lands with an uppercut that bounces Munk off the ropes and back into range. Risky looks to land a right hand but Munk moved out of range. Risky scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Munk drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Risky throws out a loose jab but Munk uses good head movement to avoid it. Munk wants to counter with a clinch but Risky pushes him away. Risky misses with a looping left. Risky looks to land a combination. Munk sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Munk throws a left and a right that both miss
and Risky counters with a nice uppercut. Good standup being displayed there by Risky as he connects with a hook. Munk throws a head kick that Risky semi-blocks.
Munk is looking to land body kicks. Risky circles away from the clinch attempt and Risky counters with a lovely straight right hand! Risky scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Risky listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Munk displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Risky throws out the jab. Munk throws a body kick that misses. A low kick from Munk misses letting Risky counter with a right hand.
Munk is rocked! Risky lands a nice hook to Munk's body. Munk takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Munk is still on wobbly legs! Can Risky finish him? Munk looks winded! Risky with a body punch. A glancing blow. Munk seems to have recovered his senses. CJ Risky is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Munk looks up at the clock. Bad move! Risky lands a right hand from hell, dropping Munk. Risky pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Valkyrie misses with a looping right. Valkyrie backing away here, and Reddish unleashes a leg kick that just misses. A jab from Valkyrie misses. Valkyrie looks to land a left hand but Reddish moved out of range nicely. Valkyrie lands a body shot.
A shot to the body from Reddish misses and Valkyrie counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Valkyrie ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Valkyrie throws a right hand that misses
and Reddish counters with a big head kick but Valkyrie shrugs it off. Reddish walks into a left hand. Reddish with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Valkyrie to score with a decent uppercut. Reddish throws a nice inside leg kick. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Reddish connects with a high kick. Valkyrie misses with a body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round. Reddish slips a straight right by Valkyrie. Reddish lands a head kick. Valkyrie smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
It looks like Conner Valkyrie has been cut. Valkyrie throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Reddish on the side of the head. Valkyrie throws a lazy right hand but Reddish sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Valkyrie keeps the fight on the outside. Valkyrie swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Reddish digs a good hook to Valkyrie's body.
Reddish defending well as Valkyrie loads up on a big left hand. Valkyrie fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Reddish takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Conner Valkyrie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reddish lands a head kick!
Reddish uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Valkyrie. Valkyrie drops Reddish with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Reddish looks back up at him and smiles so Valkyrie waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Reddish is rocked!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tiura thuds a left hand into Ishida's body. Tiura throws a body shot but no joy. Ishida showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tiura.
A little feinted left hand from Ishida on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. That kick from Ishida tenderised Tiura's leg. Tiura is trying to keep his angry face on. Nice sprawl there from Tiura as Ishida shoots in. Tiura is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Ishida with a body shot. Tiura misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tiura decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Tiura working over Ishida with some ground and pound. Ishida looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Tiura wants to free his trapped foot but Ishida is holding on for dear life with his legs. Tiura content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
That's one minute gone in the round. Tiura wants to pass to mount but Ishida is defending the position. Tiura prevents Ishida from improving his position. Tiura trying to pass the guard but Ishida defending well. Tiura wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ishida keeps working. Tiura scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Ishida tries to roll over but Tiura keeps him under control. Tiura drops an elbow to the side of Ishida's head. Ishida on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Ishida trying to control here.
Tiura not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Tiura is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tiura wants to work for an arm triangle but Ishida is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Ishida slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Tiura has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Ishida to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Tiura is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Ishida pulls down on the head and he's put Tiura to sleep! This one is all over!

Sadewo advances position into side control! Sadewo controlling the position. Blunt gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Sadewo controlling the action here. Blunt tries to kick Sadewo off but Sadewo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rio Sadewo dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Sadewo throws out a powerful jab. Blunt throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sadewo. The fight stays on the outside here - Blunt looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Blunt rushes Sadewo and presses him up against the ropes. Sadewo scores with a shoulder strike. Sadewo avoids the elbow strike from Blunt, against the ropes.
Sadewo lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Sadewo is leaning against Blunt and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Blunt misses with the head strike.

Sadewo scoring with punches and elbows. Sadewo takes a little break here. Blunt wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Sadewo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Sadewo working the ground and pound. Blunt takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Blunt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sadewo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Blunt is pushing Sadewo's head away, looking to escape. Sadewo manages to hold on to the position though. Blunt taking punishment in the form of punches.
Sadewo happy to just control the position for now. Blunt wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Sadewo has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Blunt's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Blunt is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Sadewo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Rio Sadewo! A relieved looking Rio Sadewo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.

Come on you two, sort yourselves out! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
