The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gomes goes for a double leg but Johnson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Johnson continues to drive forward.

Johnson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Gomes doesn't seem bothered though.
Johnson cracks Gomes with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Gomes falls to his knees and Johnson doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

deSouza has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

deSouza seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Orosco does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
