0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sonjay Narumbatangalang! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Narumbatangalang lands a jab to Jackson's midsection. Narumbatangalang waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jackson. Jackson blocks a jab. Jackson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Narumbatangalang. As Narumbatangalang tries to get set, Jackson tries to push him back and clinch up but Narumbatangalang manages to avoid the attempt. Jackson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Narumbatangalang.
Narumbatangalang throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Jackson wants to clinch. Jackson fails with a takedown attempt. Benjamin moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Benjamin cracks the inside of Sarulo's front leg. Benjamin slips a jab and a cross from Sarulo.
Benjamin attempts a counter takedown but Sarulo avoids it well and moves away. Sarulo throws a series of punches but Benjamin moves out of range. Benjamin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sarulo.
Benjamin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Benjamin there as he acknowledges the shot. Jab, jab by Sarulo - just one landing. Benjamin swings away with a leg kick that misses. Sarulo looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Sarulo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Benjamin circles away quickly and effectively. As Sarulo tries to get set, Benjamin tries to push him back and clinch up but Sarulo manages to avoid the attempt. Sarulo misses with a wild body shot. A decent looking cross lands there for Sarulo. Sarulo lands a jab-cross combination. This has been an exciting period of action! Sarulo scores with a jab to the head.

Benjamin misses with a wild combination.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sarulo clobbers Benjamin with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Sarulo ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Sarulo avoids the body shot from Benjamin.
Sarulo lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Sarulo misses with a two punch combination.
Sarulo is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Benjamin had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Sarulo tests Benjamin's chin there with a solid looking shot. Sarulo misses with a series of wild punches.

and Benjamin counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Benjamin throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Benjamin missing with a left hand there. Sarulo was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Benjamin closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sarulo did well to prevent Benjamin getting side control. Well, if Benjamin is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Benjamin looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sarulo with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sarulo moves into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Benjamin postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Benjamin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sarulo on the ground. Benjamin arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Sarulo's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Smith wants to clinch but Garafallo slips to the side and Garafallo counters with a shoot takedown. Smith fights it but they end up in guard. Smith tries to land a sweep but no joy. Garafallo postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Smith looking to sweep here. No luck so far. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Smith is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garafallo lands a couple of decent looking shots. Smith wants to sweep here but Garafallo controlling him for the moment. Garafallo stands up over Smith, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Garafallo postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Garafallo is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Smith looking to hit a scissor sweep but Garafallo is one step ahead there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Garafallo controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Garafallo with a nice head shot there. Garafallo sitting in guard, not really doing much. Smith has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Garafallo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Smith. Garafallo trying to control the position but Smith is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garafallo tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Garafallo has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Garafallo is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Smith has escaped the position, nice work there. Jenean Garafallo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Smith is trying to escape the position but Garafallo is controlling the position. Garafallo looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Garafallo lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith gets back to half guard. Smith has hold of Garafallo's hands but Garafallo slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Smith manages to get to full guard.

Smith tries to clinch up. Garafallo manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Smith on his heels. He'll look to pass Smith's guard now, I'm sure. Smith is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Garafallo is looking to control Smith's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Garafallo avoid being mounted? Smith not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Garafallo is staying active underneath Smith, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Smith takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Smith is controlling the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garafallo looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Smith thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Garafallo's head. Garafallo wants to control but Smith is keeping busy.
Smith stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Garafallo to get to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Smith punishes Garafallo's body with a nice straight punch. Smith checks a leg kick. Smith throws a nice looking combination but Garafallo bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Garafallo is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Smith can do to turn this around? Smith darts in and clinches Garafallo up against the cage. Garafallo misses with a knee strike.
Garafallo tries to work over Smith's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Smith gets through Garafallo's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Garafallo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Garafallo drives through with a takedown into guard. Garafallo scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Smith is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Smith is looking for a triangle here but Garafallo uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Garafallo lands some shots froms side control. Garafallo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Smith struggling a bit here. Garafallo scores with a couple of short elbows. Smith is looking for a sweep. Garafallo staying calm. Garafallo landing strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Garafallo scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Smith to see if he's OK. Garafallo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Garafallo wants to control but Smith is keeping him busy. It looks like Oleg Taktarov has been cut. Taktarov shoots for a takedown but Parker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Taktarov shoots in and drives through. Parker sprawls well. Taktarov looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Parker! Taktarov wants to control but Parker is keeping him busy. Taktarov misses with an attempted head punch from side control. A lull in the action here as Taktarov stalls from top position. Taktarov tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Parker struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Taktarov has knee on belly and moves into mount. Taktarov controlling the pace for now. Parker is controlling an arm, preventing Taktarov from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Erikson in side control, throwing shots but Robinson defends. Robinson can't do much from the bottom here. Robinson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

We've been told by Erikson 's head coaches at Die Trying Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Erikson thows a left - swing and a miss! Robinson fails with an attempt to clinch.
Leif Erikson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Robinson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Erikson manages to avoid it. Robinson throws a head kick that misses. Erikson appears to be looking for a big counter. A jab from Erikson finds it's way through Robinson's defenses. Robinson walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Robinson shoots and misses and Erikson counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Robinson to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Erikson !

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Souza defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Shamrock. Souza lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Shamrock definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Shamrock tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Souza swivels and escapes. Souza defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Shamrock. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bruce Shamrock. That's going to take a lot out of him. Shamrock shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Souza pinned against the cage. Souza gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A little jabbing left from Souza on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Souza thuds his right hand into Shamrock's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Souza lands a left and a right that send Shamrock crashing to the mat, dazed. Souza thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Souza lets his hands go wild with a nice combination. Left! Right! Uppercut! Spinning backfist! Shamrock goes down and covers up as Souza starts wailing on him! The ref watches the action closely before stepping in and putting a stop to the fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Canoe feints and as Kong raises his hands in defense, Canoe changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Kong is looking to stand up but Canoe isn't so interested in that idea. Canoe cracks Kong with a solid left hand. Kong is looking to stand up but Canoe isn't so interested in that idea. Canoe content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Kong is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Canoe lands a couple of digs. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kong can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Canoe controls the pace. Canoe prevents Kong from getting back to his feet. Canoe looking to pass the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Canoe is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Canoe stops Kong from standing up. Canoe wants to control from the top but Kong keeps moving. Canoe missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kong is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Canoe is controlling him.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Canoe changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Kong looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Canoe throws an elbow but Kong slips to the side and avoids it well. Canoe lands a few punches from side control. Canoe in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Canoe misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Kong is trying to escape the position but Canoe is controlling the position. Kong taking punishment in the form of punches.
Canoe in side control lands a decent elbow. Kong is not content to let Canoe control the position. Canoe misses with the ground and pound. Canoe trying to control the position but Kong is working away. The strikes coming from Canoe are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Canoe wants to control but Kong is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Canoe with the ground and pound but Kong regains half guard under the barage of strikes. Canoe is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Well, if Canoe is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Canoe not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kong taking some punishment here, with Canoe in his half guard. Canoe stops Kong from getting back to his feet.
Canoe is figuring out what he wants to do next. Canoe wants to pass the guard but Kong is defending well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kong avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Canoe. Kong is looking to escape. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Kong is not content to let Canoe control the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. A momentary lapse in concentration from Kong enables Canoe to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kong manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Canoe slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Douche Canoe dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Canoe works Kong's body with a nice hook. Kong shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Canoe napping and manages to drive through into side control! Canoe is looking to regain half guard here but Kong keeps moving and retains side control. Kong is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Canoe is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kong wants to control but Canoe is keeping him busy. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Canoe can do anything to dispel that myth. Kong tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Canoe tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kong is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Canoe knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Canoe felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Canoe sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Canoe is looking to control Kong's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Canoe avoid being mounted? Kong is trying to control. Canoe wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Canoe tries to get to full guard but Kong has control of the leg. Kong has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Douche Canoe has got the better of the ground game so far. Kong is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Canoe has managed to escape the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Canoe wants to hold on but Kong pushes him away. Kong has control of Canoe's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Canoe regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Canoe regains half guard. Canoe wants to get back to full guard. Kong tries to pass to full mount but Canoe defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kong not doing much here.
Canoe lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage. Canoe is looking to improve his position.

Kong is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Canoe is just riding it out for now. Kong eventually gives up the hold. Kong is thwarting Canoe's attempts to control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Canoe is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Canoe gets full guard. Canoe pulls Kong in close to prevent any damage. Kong won't allow Canoe to sweep him here. Kong drops back looking for a leg! Canoe is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Canoe manages to kick Kong off! Kong jumps back into Canoe's guard. Canoe looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kong is one step ahead there.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matiku Kong dominated that second round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Canoe darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Canoe sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Kong defending well though. Kong blocking the ground and pound attempt from Canoe. Canoe looks to land a strike but Kong avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Canoe is in close to Kong's body, working some short punches and elbows. Canoe postures up and lands a big shot to Kong's brow. Canoe has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Canoe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kong swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kong is looking to stand up but Canoe isn't so interested in that idea. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Canoe works over Kong with some ground and pound from guard. Canoe keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Kong's head. Canoe pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kong is keeping the position for now. Canoe makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Canoe engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Kong wants to stand but Canoe is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Canoe in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Canoe with a nice head shot there. Canoe trying to control but Kong is working from the bottom. Canoe landing with the ground and pound.
Kong is rocked! Canoe looking to pass the guard. Oh Kong is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Canoe loads up on a big left hand. Kong felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Canoe looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Kong can't hide his disappointment, as Canoe celebrates the victory.
