0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Skinner! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Calacon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Calacon cracks a nice hook into Skinner's ribs. Skinner shoots for a takedown but Calacon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Calacon feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Skinner's calf. Skinner feints and as Calacon raises his hands in defense, Skinner changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Calacon seems keen to control Skinner's posture. Skinner with a flurry of punches that miss. Calacon has momentary wrist control but Skinner slips an elbow through the middle. Calacon keeping moving, preventing Skinner from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Skinner throws a big right hand that misses. Skinner not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Skinner trying to control but Calacon is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Calacon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Skinner in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Skinner is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Skinner trying to control the position from guard on top but Calacon is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Calacon lands a body shot.
Skinner closes this distance looking for a takedown but Calacon circles away. Calacon stuffs the takedown. Conrad Calacon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alex Skinner.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Skinner misses with a takedown attempt enabling Calacon to counter with a crisp jab. Calacon fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Skinner attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Calacon closes the distance and clinches. Calacon lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Skinner backwards. Calacon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Calacon looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Skinner throws a leg kick that misses. Skinner shoots in for a double leg but Calacon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Calacon tried to counter with a leg kick but Skinner avoided it. Skinner misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. The fight moves into the clinch position. Calacon presses Skinner against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Skinner looks winded! Nice body punch from Calacon - that landed with a thud.
Calacon lands a hook that snaps the head of Skinner backwards. We've been informed that Skinner has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Calacon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Skinner takes one on the button.
Skinner is rocked! Skinner takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Skinner is still on wobbly legs! Can Calacon finish him? Calacon fakes the body blow, causing Skinner to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Skinner goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Space fails with a takedown attempt. It looked like Halloo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Horrible takedown attempt by Space or perhaps it was just good defense by Halloo, which made it look bad. Halloo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Halloo has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Space to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Halloo is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Space pulls down on the head and he's put Halloo to sleep! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sparx gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Clark in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Clark not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Clark thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sparx working a defensive guard here.
Clark sitting in guard, not really doing much. Clark has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Clark stands and throws Sparx's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clark scoring with punches and elbows. Clark is staying tight to Sparx's torso, preventing him from escaping. Sparx on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Clark has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Sparx! Clark working for a guillotine from mount but Sparx is in no mood to give up. Clark working the ground and pound effectively.
Clark controlling the pace for now. Clark putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Clark is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Sparx is surviving well by controlling Clark's body position as best he can.

This has been an exciting period of action! Sparx looks winded! Clark controlling the position easily from mount. Clark stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Clark closes the distance and clinches. Clark pulls guard successfully.
Clark working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sparx doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sparx manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Clark seems keen to control Sparx's posture.

Sparx really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Clark. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Clark is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sparx is aware though and is defending well. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Sparx working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Clark throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Sparx escapes and throws Clark's legs to the side, diving into side control! Clark is trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sparx is looking to take a break and control but Clark is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Clark struggling a bit here. Clark manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Clark is looking to improve his position.

Kyle Clark dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Sparx shoots in and drives through. Clark sprawls well. Sparx scores with a hook to the body. Clark takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Sparx tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Clark forces Sparx back against the cage and clinches. Clark lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Clark is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sparx doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Clark. Clark controlling the pace. Sparx is breathing heavily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sparx has hold of Clark's hands but Clark slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Clark looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sparx trying to hold on to Clark's head to control him but Clark postures up.
Clark perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Sparx is trying to control but can't.
Clark wants to pass the guard but Sparx is defending well. Clark content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Clark seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Sparx for as long as he can get away with. Clark looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sparx with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Clark lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Clark performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Clark in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Sparx tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Clark!

We've heard reports from his gym mates at Kung Fu Fighting Club ($299 entry fee) that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Ivers is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Mcgruff's coach down at Blackstar Striking Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Mcgruff's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Mcgruff misses with a double jab
and Ludwig counters with an inside leg kick. Mcgruff staying out of range there. A kick lands to the mid section there for Ludwig. Mcgruff on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Ludwig. Ludwig obviously looking to wear him down.

Mcgruff dives in for a single leg takedown but Ludwig sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Mcgruff chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Ludwig can pounce on him.

Ludwig walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mcgruff checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Ludwig lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Mcgruff throws a right hand that Ludwig ducks under and follows up with a left that Ludwig also avoids with ease. Mcgruff moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Mcgruff takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Ludwig seems to be stalking Mcgruff here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastating head kick! Mcgruff drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

Sven Ludwig decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. Valentine with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Nathan to score with a decent uppercut. Nathan stuns Valentine with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Nathan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Valentine.
Nathan fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Nathan lands the left hand.
Valentine is rocked! Valentine on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Oh Valentine is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Nathan lands a brutal uppercut that launches Valentine off his feet! Valentine tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!

A very excited looking Ray Nathan made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
