The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John tries to score a power double leg takedown but Azorre sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten John somewhat.
Azorre connects with a leg kick. John looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Azorre turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Azorre looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
John goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
