The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ortiz rushes Monteiro and presses him up against the ropes. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Ortiz misses with a punch on the inside.

Petteri lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Jako checks a leg kick. Petteri tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Petteri throws a head kick but Jako moves out of range.

Petteri throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Petteri swings away with a leg kick that misses. Petteri lands with a thumping leg kick.
Jako staggers Petteri with a jab and knocks him down with a follow up straight! Petteri looks in trouble, will he beat the count?! The count has reached 5 and he's only back to 1 knee - it's going to be close! 6,7,8 - he's up! Just in time and the ref is going to let the fight continue! This has been an exciting period of action! Petteri with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jako tries to clinch but Petteri is having none of it. Petteri throws a lazy body kick and Jako cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Petteri leaves his chin hanging out and Jako seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Petteri crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. Whyte lands a left hand.
