The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Assassin stuffs the takedown.

Assassin shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in CANNON's guard.

CANNON is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Assassin defends well.
Assassin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as CANNON works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

CANNON is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

CANNON escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Assassin gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Assassin is looking to work some ground and pound but CANNON has wrist control.

CANNON looking for a guillotine here but Assassin defends easily.
Assassin is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Assassin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

CANNON takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Assassin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Assassin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Thangs feints a jab and as Chapmen dips his head, Thangs unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Chapmen right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Chapmen falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Thangs smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
