The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Costa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Seneca moves away from the strike by Costa. Costa gets the takedown into side control. Costa is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Seneca knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Seneca tries to bench press Costa off him but Costa keeps the position. Costa is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Seneca looks calm but he's in trouble here. Costa gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Seneca is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Costa lets go of the hold and Seneca can pop his arm back in it's socket.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elizondo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Bell to the mat! Bell manages to get full guard. Bell has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Elizondo is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. Elizondo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Bell throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Elizondo shoots for a double leg takedown but Bell sprawls well. He's pushed Elizondo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bell gets caught napping as Elizondo dives in and scores a takedown. Bell manages to retain guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bell wants to stand and escape but Elizondo is having none of it. Bell pushes Elizondo off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Elizondo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bell.

Bell was covering up waiting for the punch and Elizondo finishes the takedown easily into guard. Elizondo throws a strike but Bell rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Elizondo wants to stand up but Bell is controlling him.

Bell leaves Elizondo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Elizondo does a little dance to reset his feet.

Elizondo defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bell. Bell tries to score with a low kick but Elizondo moves his leg out of the way. Elizondo throws a right and a left that both miss. Bell tries to clinch up but Elizondo circles away and keeps his distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A head kick by Bell misses and Elizondo counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Bell clinches up with Elizondo and pushes him back against the cage. Bell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Elija Elizondo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Elizondo has taken the fight to the clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Elizondo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bell fails miserably with a takedown attempt. It looked like Elizondo was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Bell takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Elizondo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Bell shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Elizondo defends it nicely. Elija Elizondo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Russell Bell. Elizondo shoots in and drives through. Bell sprawls well. Bell tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Elizondo swivels and escapes. Elizondo shoots in looking for a takedown but Bell manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Elizondo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Bell stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bell wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bell tries to clinch but Elizondo is having none of it. Elizondo drives through with a takedown into guard. Elizondo postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Elizondo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Elizondo prevents Bell from getting back to his feet. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Elizondo postures up in Bell's guard and throws a big left but Bell blocks it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Elizondo throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Bell is working an open guard so Elizondo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Elizondo shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Elizondo shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bell as he jumps to the side. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Elizondo fails with a takedown attempt.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bizzle feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Mxyzptlk is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bizzle is aware though and is defending well. Mxyzptlk manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bizzle manages to get himself to full guard.
Mxyzptlk stops Bizzle from standing up. Mxyzptlk tries to free his leg and advance position but Bizzle is retaining full guard. Mxyzptlk wants to control from the top but Bizzle keeps moving. Mxyzptlk is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bizzle avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Mxyzptlk throws a big elbow that misses. Bizzle looking for subs off his back but Mxyzptlk has passed one foot through into half guard.
Bizzle is staying active underneath Mxyzptlk, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Bizzle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mxyzptlk on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Mxyzptlk lands a nice short elbow. Mxyzptlk stalling. Mxyzptlk wants to control but Bizzle is keeping him busy. Bizzle is looking for a sweep. Mxyzptlk is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bizzle won't allow Mxyzptlk to pass to mount. Bizzle is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Mxyzptlk jumps into side control!
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Mxyzptlk tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Mxyzptlk has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! You can see the frustration on Bizzle's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Bizzle tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Mxyzptlk punishes Bizzle with strikes from the back mount. Mxyzptlk thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mxyzptlk tries to keep control of the position but Bizzle is staying busy. Bizzle tries to break free.
What can Bizzle do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
You can see the frustration on Bizzle's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Bizzle looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment. Bizzle won't enjoy being in this position. Mxyzptlk looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Bizzle is tapping - it's over boys! Mxyzptlk picks up the submission victory!
