1 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Chris Paul! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ian Banks! The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Chris Dean and Ron Honeybunn.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paul darts in and clinches Banks up against the cage. Banks has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Paul is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Paul lands a body punch in the clinch. Paul pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Paul moves into the clinch. Paul lands a hook to the side of the head. Paul breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Paul moves into range and clinches up with Banks. Paul misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Banks using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Paul has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Paul breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Banks has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Paul is landing a low percentage of strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A looping hook to the body misses from Paul. Banks does a little dance to reset his feet. Banks shoots in but Paul avoids the takedown attempt easily. Paul drives through and clinches with Banks against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Paul lands with a light punch inside. Paul keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Banks's efforts to push away. Banks has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Paul uses from the top position. Banks keeping moving, preventing Paul from controlling successfully. Paul wants to stand and escape but instead Banks has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Banks is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Banks accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Banks not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Banks works over Paul with some ground and pound from guard. Banks working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Paul's head. Banks passes into half guard. Banks maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Paul could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Banks has cracked it and Paul is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Banks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Ian Banks! In defeat, Chris Paul stepped up to the mic, saying 'Back to the drawing board for me folks, this is just a bump in the road. I'll be back better than before soon!'.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seaview lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Gibson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Gibson gets a clinch. Seaview looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Gibson lands with a light punch inside. Gibson keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Seaview's efforts to push away. Gibson stalling the fight.

Gibson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Seaview up against the cage. Gibson continues to stall. Gibson pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Seaview taps out and this one is all over!

Valdez throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Dale. Dale moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Valdez drops Dale with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Dale! Valdez dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Homelius gets slowly back to his feet. Strike changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Homelius swings for the body but Strike moves out of range.

Strike tries to close the distance and clinch but Homelius swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Homelius shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Homelius thows a huge punch but Strike dodges it nicely.

Silva shoots in but doesn't get the takedown enabling Goldberg to counter with a crisp jab. Silva tries for a takedown but Goldberg circles away easily and Goldberg counters with a nice right hand that sends Silva toppling to the canvas! Silva scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Goldberg finish him?! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Goldberg swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Silva drops his hands for a split second and Goldberg immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Silva face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Goldberg follows up with a right hand that knocks Silva into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
