The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gorski fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Gorski lands a nice shot that snaps Anderson's head back.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shakhbulatov misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. It looked like Askren wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Askren swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Askren fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shakhbulatov manages to avoid it. Askren throws a right hand that misses
and Shakhbulatov counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Shakhbulatov has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Askren is landing a low percentage of strikes. Askren just misses with a punch to the body.
Shakhbulatov shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Askren as he jumps to the side. Askren has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shakhbulatov fails to land the takedown. A little feinted left hand from Askren on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Yen Askren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rustam Shakhbulatov. Askren misses with a straight left. It looks like Hamish McTavish has been cut. McTavish has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. McTavish shoots in for a double leg but Babyara sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Babyara tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McTavish was well out of range. Poor timing from Babyara. Babyara connects with a crisp jab. Babyara takes a swing at McTavish's ribcage but misses. Babyara connects with a right hand. McTavish shakes it off. Babyara throws a right and a left that McTavish avoids nicely. McTavish drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Babyara defends it well. Babyara jabs at McTavish's body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McTavish shoots for a takedown but Babyara saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Babyara feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends McTavish sprawling to the canvas! McTavish rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Babyara finish him?!
McTavish is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Babyara closes the distance and lands a brutal uppercut that knocks McTavish out! We're looking at the replay now - he was out before he hit the floor!

He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bunyasarn's half guard. Bunyasarn won't allow Ruas to pass to mount. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bunyasarn is not content to let Ruas control the position. Bunyasarn is looking to control Ruas's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Bunyasarn avoid being mounted? Ruas wants to free his trapped foot but Bunyasarn is holding on for dear life with his legs. Bunyasarn remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Ruas will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! You can see the frustration on Bunyasarn's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Ruas is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Bunyasarn fending off the submission attempt from Ruas. Bunyasarn looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bunyasarn wants to control but Ruas postures up. Ruas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bunyasarn swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bunyasarn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ruas is one step ahead there. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ruas is looking to pass into half guard but Bunyasarn pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bunyasarn is in guard. Ruas tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bunyasarn is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ruas can do to turn this around?

Ruas gets slowly back to his feet. Ruas stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bunyasarn. Ruas shoots and misses and Bunyasarn connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ruas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bunyasarn tries to avoid it but Ruas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bunyasarn to the ground. Bunyasarn escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Ruas misses with a takedown attempt and Bunyasarn counters with a lovely straight right hand! Horrible takedown attempt by Ruas or perhaps it was just good defense by Bunyasarn, which made it look bad. Ananada Bunyasarn is winning the standup battle so far. Ruas shoots and misses and Bunyasarn counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Bunyasarn lands a head shot. Bunyasarn misses the jab.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bunyasarn lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The cut above Carlos Ruas's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Bunyasarn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Bunyasarn fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bunyasarn scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ruas doesn't seem bothered though. Bunyasarn connects with an inside leg kick. Ruas closes the distance and clinches up with Bunyasarn, looking for a takedown. Ruas pushes Bunyasarn against the cage but Bunyasarn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bunyasarn darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Ruas blocks a low kick nicely. Bunyasarn throws a shot from downtown. Ruas moves away and avoids it. Bunyasarn throws a hook to the side of Ruas's head but Ruas sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ruas darts in looking for a takedown but Bunyasarn gets double underhooks and turns Ruas into the cage. A quick step to the side and Bunyasarn tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Bunyasarn looks to score with a jab to the body but Ruas is just out of range. Bunyasarn with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
And that's the end of the fight! Ananada Bunyasarn showed his dominance in that final round. I think Bunyasarn has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lomachenko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We've been hearing that Lomachenko has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Lomachenko in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Lomachenko makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Lomachenko scoring with some ground and pound. Lomachenko postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Amana wants to stand but Lomachenko is controlling the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Amana is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Lomachenko trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lomachenko drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lomachenko jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Lomachenko prevents Amana from getting back to his feet. Lomachenko has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lomachenko throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Amana wants to stand up but Lomachenko is controlling him. Lomachenko with a nice head shot there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lomachenko content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Amana wants to stand up but Lomachenko is controlling him. Lomachenko pushing down on Amana's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Ground and pound from Lomachenko. Lomachenko stops Amana from getting back to his feet.
Amana is trying to escape back to his feet but Lomachenko uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Amana wants to get back to his feet but Lomachenko drags him back down. Lomachenko lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Amana is wriggling around trying to escape but Lomachenko has hooked up a rear naked choke! Is it over??? Is it... you're damn right it is! Amana taps out and Lomachenko picks up the big win! Great work there by Lomachenko!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brandis throws a right hand that Takeishi ducks under and follows up with a left that Takeishi also avoids with ease. Brandis is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Takeishi. Brandis will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Brandis misses with a hook to the body
and Takeishi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Brandis has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Brandis takes a shot right to the bread basket. Takeishi ducks under a wild hook from Brandis. Takeishi lands with a right hand. Takeishi's corner calls for a 1-2. Takeishi obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Brandis throws a nice looking combination but Takeishi bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Takeishi thows a left - swing and a miss! Brandis tries to bum rush Takeishi with a series of wild strikes but Takeishi uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Takeishi dodges the punch combination from Brandis.
Takeishi appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. We've been told by Takeishi's head coaches at Arcalimon Top Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Takeishi jabs Brandis to the body, keeping him at a distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jab from Takeishi. Takeishi lands a nice shot that snaps Brandis's head back.
Brandis is rocked! Brandis walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Brandis is still on wobbly legs! Can Takeishi finish him? BOOM! Takeishi lands a beautiful left hook that drops Brandis. Brandis tries to recover but Takeishi is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Brandis lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mitsugu Takeishi! Mitsugu Takeishi bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it. Fletch Brandis was interviewed post fight and said 'I think I'm gonna drink a Miller Lite tonight and play some pool.'.
