The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Backman tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Caulfield was well out of range. Poor timing from Backman. Backman has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Backman looks to throw the jab but Caulfield is out of range. Caulfield throws a series of punches but Backman avoids them all with ease. Caulfield showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Backman.

It looks like Legend Broly has been cut. Santiago scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Broly darts in trying to clinch and Santiago counters with a deadly accurate combination that rocks Broly badly! He tries to strike back but Santiago puts an end to that with another precision combo that knocks Broly out cold! Oh man, Broly will never hear the end of this one!

If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Bunyon wants to stand and escape but Karelin is having none of it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kossu throws a jab but it's blocked by Popper. Kossu moves forwards but Popper connects with a nice, crisp jab. Kossu thuds his right hand into Popper's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Kossu bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Popper's head. Kossu has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Kossu scores with a sloppy right hand. Popper should have avoided that one. Popper keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kossu. A decent looking cross lands there for Kossu. Tantor was covering up waiting for the punch and McCallum finishes the takedown easily into guard. McCallum throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tantor works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Tantor has McCallum pulled in close to control his posture. McCallum wants to control from the top but Tantor keeps moving. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tantor holds on and takes a little breather. McCallum missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
