Shirai's coach down at Wookies Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Shirai's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Malia gets tackled into the cage by Sweetchuck. Sweetchuck maintains the clinch.

Sweetchuck bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Malia's guard.

Malia is trying to control the position but Sweetchuck postures up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Even with his hooks in, Sweetchuck manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Malia covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Malia knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sweetchuck on the ground.

Sweetchuck is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Malia has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Sweetchuck has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Malia taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Sweetchuck doesn't care though - he's delighted!
