The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Macmacson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by White. White obviously looking to wear him down.
Macmacson lunges at White with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by White's hand. White tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Macmacson was well out of range. Poor timing from White. White lands with a nice body punch. Macmacson avoids the body shot from White.
White works Macmacson's body with a nice hook. White scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Macmacson throws a sloppy head kick and White moves out of range easily. White takes a swing at Macmacson's ribcage but misses. An attempted straight right counter from Macmacson misses the target. White attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Macmacson is looking to counter punch. White misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
White scores with a hook to the body. Macmacson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. White waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Macmacson. Macmacson looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. This has been an exciting period of action! Macmacson throws a nice inside leg kick. Macmacson ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
That's one minute gone in the round. It's a brutal combination of punches from White! Macmacson is backing up but he can't get away as White lands with one final shot to the jaw that drops Macmacson and ends the fight. Great knockout.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Diaz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Princip paws at him with a jab and circles away. Princip pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Diaz back to the cage. Princip follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Princip catches Diaz with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Princip lands a jab to Diaz's midsection. Princip scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Diaz misses the shot to the body. It seemed like Princip was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Princip comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Princip misses with a straight right. A looping hook to the body misses from Princip. Diaz does a little dance to reset his feet. Princip bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Diaz's head backwards. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Diaz closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Princip quickly recovers to half guard. Diaz frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Diaz is breathing heavily. Princip is trying to stand up. Princip is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's one minute gone in the round. Princip tries to buck Diaz off but Diaz takes his back! Princip is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Princip manages to escape to his feet. Princip misses with a hook. Diaz ducked under it nicely. Diaz shoots in looking for a takedown. Princip tries to sprawl out of it but Diaz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Princip manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Diaz throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. A nice side step and Princip releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Princip fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Diaz, pushing him back against the cage. Diaz blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Diaz changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Princip fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Horrible takedown attempt by Diaz or perhaps it was just good defense by Princip, which made it look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Neal Diaz. Princip listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Diaz shoots in and gets a takedown into Princip's guard. Princip is looking to stand up but Diaz isn't so interested in that idea. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Princip swivels though and keeps the full guard. Diaz stops Princip from standing up. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Diaz takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Princip shows good takedown defense. Louis Princip seems to be getting the better of the standup. Diaz takes a body punch but keeps moving. Princip lands with a cross.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A decent looking cross lands there for Princip. Princip fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Diaz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Princip pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Diaz back to the cage. Diaz looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Diaz takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Princip, as that shot connected.
Princip connects with a body shot. Diaz gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Princip. Princip moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Princip fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Diaz manages to avoid it. Diaz went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected. Diaz misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Diaz takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
And that's the end of the fight! Louis Princip comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Princip winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Head throws a looping overhand right but Merel ducks down to avoid it. Merel misses the jab. Head throwing a counter right hand but Merel manages to avoid it. Merel fails miserably with a takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
