The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wright throws a poor cross that misses
and Alaoui counters with a left to the body.
Alaoui chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Wright on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Wright connects with a body shot that sends Alaoui's belly button to the back.
Wright dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Alaoui. That did some damage!
Wright keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Alaoui lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Alaoui scores with a punch to the head.
Wright is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Alaoui takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Alaoui pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Wright back to the cage. Alaoui follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Alaoui wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Wright has him pressed against the cage.
Wright can't find room to land a body shot as Alaoui controls the action.
Wright misses with the head strike.
Wright lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Alaoui backwards.
Alaoui scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Alaoui blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Wright misses with the head strike.
Alaoui avoiding damage.
Wright has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Alaoui manages to break the clinch.
Alaoui avoids the body shot from Wright.
Good shot there by Alaoui.
Wright swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Wright drops Alaoui with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Alaoui looks back up at him and smiles so Wright waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Alaoui is rocked!

and Wright counters with a huge right that knocks Alaoui out cold! Wright is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!
