Krasnov lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
St Pierre displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Wilson throws out the jab.
Wilson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around St Pierre's waist but St Pierre gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wilson off to one side.

and St Pierre counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Wilson feints and as St Pierre raises his hands in defense, Wilson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

St Pierre has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Wilson doesn't defend quickly enough and St Pierre has managed to lock this one up! Can Wilson escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to St Pierre on a fantastic submission victory.

Undercard bout

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between AJ Llewellyn (ranked 2168 p4p, 1832 weight class) and Tama Ruiha (ranked 307 p4p, 246 weight class). Llewellyn kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Doomsday. Ruiha is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Polynesian Traditional Music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.
