Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Amri Mbeki (ranked 2167 p4p, 669 weight class) and Chris Tamburello (ranked 229 p4p, 75 weight class). Mbeki comes to the cage accompanied by Intro. Tamburello has chosen Going Out of Style - Dropkick Murphys as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 32 - 17 - 1, fighting out of London, David Choke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 41 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Randleman!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Randleman tries to sprawl but Choke drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Randleman manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Randleman is looking to chop away at Choke's legs.
Choke feinted with a counter takedown.
Choke is trying hard to land a takedown here. Randleman sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Randleman throws a sloppy head kick and Choke moves out of range easily.
Choke tries to move into range but Randleman moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Randleman leaves Choke with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Randleman swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Choke has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Choke drives through with a takedown into Randleman's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Choke loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Randleman can do anything to dispel that myth.
Choke tries to free his leg and advance position but Randleman is retaining full guard.

Choke is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Randleman is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Randleman has escaped and now he's on top!


Choke looking for a guillotine here but Randleman defends easily.

Choke escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Randleman gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Choke working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Randleman doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Randleman manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Choke is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
