The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Henrique gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maya drops back looking for a leg! Henrique is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Henrique manages to kick Maya off! Maya jumps back into Henrique's guard. Maya drops back, looking for a kneebar! Henrique looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Henrique looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Henrique! Maya gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Maya tries to roll over but Henrique keeps him under control. Henrique is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Maya gets his way!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sagard dodges the punch combination from Rugowski.
Sagard shoots for a takedown but Rugowski saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Some wild striking there from Rugowski.

Rugowski explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Sagard looks gassed! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. It looks like Seven Sagard has been cut. Sagard takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. The fighters circle momentarily. Rugowski darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Rugowski lands a high kick!

Rugowski lands a big head kick that sends Sagard tumbling to the mat! Rugowski takes a step backwards and waves Sagard back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Sagard is rocked! Rugowski is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Both fighters circling slowly here as the pace drops. Fred Flintstone seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Flintstone throws a head kick that misses. A good leg kick by Flintstone. Floquinho is breathing heavily. Flintstone lands the left hand. Flintstone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Flintstone keeps Floquinho at a distance using the push kick. Flintstone drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Floquinho is trying to escape the position but Flintstone is controlling the position. Flintstone stands up and beckons Floquinho to his feet. Flintstone throws a shot to the body.
A head kick misses from Flintstone. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Flintstone! Floquinho is out on his feet! Flintstone rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Floquinho is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Floquinho is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Bee. That one must have hurt. Johnson blocks a head kick by Bee.
Bee throws the kick towards the body but Johnson avoids it. Johnson stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Bee. Johnson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bee napping and manages to drive through into side control! Bee is looking for a sweep. Johnson throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Johnson stands up. Bee looks to land a body kick but Johnson moved away. Bee throws a leg kick but Johnson moved away. Bee buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Putin lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bourque circles away quickly and effectively. Bourque throws a sloppy head kick and Putin moves out of range easily. A nice combination there by Putin.
It looks like Timothy Bourque has been cut. Putin has taken the fight to the clinch.
Bourque tries to break the clinch but Putin is controlling the position. A right hook to the body lands for Putin.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Putin has a couple of punches blocked by Bourque.
Bourque has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Bourque pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Putin moves in looking to clinch but Bourque pushes him off. Putin swinging wildly here.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bourque connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Putin momentarily.
Bourque throws a nice looking combination but Putin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Bourque keeps the fight on the outside. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Bourque checks a leg kick. Putin wants to clinch. Bourque cracks Putin with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Putin tries to clinch up. The fighters circling - Putin throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Putin tries to clinch there but Bourque circles away.
Putin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Bourque avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Bourque makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Bourque throws a head kick that misses. Bourque fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Bourque throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Putin stumbling backwards into the cage! Putin bounces back off the cage towards Bourque, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Bourque lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Bourque celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Spartacus throws the left hand but Ghost avoids the punch easily. Ghost throws a shot to the body.
Spartacus is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Spartacus misses with a hook to the body
and Ghost counters with a shoot takedown. Spartacus fights it but they end up in guard. Ghost wants to pass the guard but Spartacus is keeping the position. Ghost trying to control the position from guard on top but Spartacus is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ghost has gone for a leg lock! Spartacus slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ghost's guard. Ghost is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Spartacus defends well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Spartacus is looking to stand up but Ghost won't let him. Ghost might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ghost tries to land a sweep but no joy. Spartacus pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ghost is keeping the position for now. Spartacus must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ghost has a closed guard, preventing Spartacus from standing up. Ghost has his foot on Spartacus's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Spartacus works his way back into a safe position though. Spartacus tries to free his leg and advance position but Ghost is retaining full guard. Spartacus preventing the sweep. Spartacus got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ghost has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Spartacus has managed to get both his arms back between Ghost's legs - danger averted. Ghost has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Spartacus can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Spartacus is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Ghost is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Spartacus frees his head nicely. Oh but Ghost has switched to an armbar! Spartacus is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
