The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pandamari connects with a nice looking jab.
Jackson gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown but Pandamari shows good takedown defense. Excellent takedown into side control there by Jackson. Pandamari tries to improve position but can't. Jackson tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jackson has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Pandamari is trying to get back to half guard. Jackson is trying to get an arm triangle but Pandamari is defending well. 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ernie Whit! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, David Schapiro and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chavez lands a nice shot that snaps Whit's head back.
Whit takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Ernie Whit seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Chavez throws a head kick that misses. Chavez throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Whit's head. Chavez avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Chavez slips under a jab. Whit drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Whit trying to control the position but Chavez is working away. Whit sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Chavez is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whit works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Chavez is trying to control Whit's posture but Whit avoids it. The strikes coming from Whit are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Whit throwing shots but missing, from side control. You can see the frustration on Chavez's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chavez is trying to buck Whit off. The strikes coming from Whit are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Whit throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Chavez works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Whit throws a strike but Chavez avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Whit throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Chavez was covering up waiting for the punch and Whit finishes the takedown easily into guard. Whit postures up in Chavez's guard and throws a big left but Chavez blocks it. Whit won't allow Chavez to get back to his feet. Whit is looking to work some ground and pound but Chavez has wrist control. Chavez is controlling Whit's posture. Whit not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Chavez tries to land a sweep but no joy. Whit scoring with some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chavez wants to get back to his feet but Whit is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Whit trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Chavez manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Chavez trying to control but Whit is working from the bottom. Whit looking to control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Whit drops his hands momentarily and Chavez takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Whit takes a kick to the side of the head. Both fighters circling a little - Chavez finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Chavez throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Whit misses with an uppercut. The fight moves into the clinch position. Whit is trying to break the clinch but Chavez is controlling him. Whit avoiding damage as Chavez throws knees to the body.
Chavez lands a body punch in the clinch. Whit swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Whit lands a body shot. Whit is trying to trip Chavez. He has hold of a leg but Chavez is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Whit persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Whit looks gassed! Chavez is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Whit loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Miguel Chavez will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Chavez has Whit pressed against the cage, preventing Whit from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Whit looking for a takedown. Whit tries to circle away but Chavez has him pinned against the cage. Chavez gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Whit.

Chavez ducks under a wild hook from Whit. Chavez throws a head kick that misses. Whit closes the distance and clinches up with Chavez, looking for a takedown. Whit pushes Chavez against the cage but Chavez circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Chavez lands a high kick!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jab by Chavez. Whit might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Whit shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Miguel Chavez is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Whit takes a jab right on the kisser.

Whit sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Whit thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!

Chavez really wants to buck Whit off and get back to his feet. Whit throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Chavez because Whit loaded up on that one. Chavez bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Whit has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Whit wants to sweep but no luck. Chavez trying to control but Whit is working from the bottom. Whit wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Whit tries to land a sweep but no joy. Chavez trying to control the position from guard on top but Whit is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Chavez is fighting to break Whit's control of his arms but Whit is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Whit is trying to control the position from the bottom.

And that's the end of the fight! Miguel Chavez showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chavez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Freedom throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Grickrod. Freedom steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Grickrod. Grickrod on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Freedom. Freedom obviously looking to wear him down.
Grickrod throws a jab when Freedom was well out of range. Freedom throws a hook to the side of Grickrod's head but Grickrod sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Freedom pulls out of a head kick attempt.

A nice inside leg kick there by Freedom. That's going to slow Grickrod down. Nice defenses there by Freedom. Grickrod misses the shot to the body. Freedom feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Grickrod's calf. Grickrod closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
That's one minute gone in the round. Grickrod takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Freedom blocks a jab. Freedom uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Grickrod. Freedom lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Grickrod checks a leg kick. Donk. Grickrod catches Freedom right on the button with a cross. Grickrod walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Grickrod throws out a powerful jab. Freedom dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Grickrod. That did some damage! Grickrod looks gassed! Freedom throws a nice outside leg kick. Grickrod just misses with a punch to the body.
Grickrod throws an overhand right that lands on Freedom's shoulder, as Freedom tries to avoid the shot. Freedom uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Grickrod.
Grickrod throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Freedom connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Nice sprawl there from Freedom as Grickrod shoots in. Freedom lands a high kick!
Freedom throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Grickrod. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Freedom feints and then cracks Grickrod's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Grickrod down. Freedom lands a jab. Freedom fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Grickrod.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Freedom darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Freedom tries to land a leg kick but Grickrod saw it coming and moves away.
Grickrod takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Freedom scores with a decent looking hook. Freedom defending well as Grickrod loads up on a big left hand. Freedom tries to bum rush Grickrod with a series of wild strikes but Grickrod uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Freedom throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Grickrod. Grickrod stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Freedom. Freedom moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Freedom misses with a head kick.
Grickrod throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Grickrod scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Grickrod tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Freedom thuds his shin into the meat of Grickrod's side. Freedom lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Freedom's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Freedom duly obliges. Grickrod on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Freedom. Freedom obviously looking to wear him down.
Grickrod chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Freedom can pounce on him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Freedom catches Grickrod with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Good leg kick by Freedom there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
The fighters circle momentarily. Freedom darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Freedom plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Grickrod avoids the head kick by Freedom.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Grickrod crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Freedom - the referee stops the clock and Grickrod gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Freedom. Grickrod manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Freedom throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Grickrod has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Grickrod there as he acknowledges the shot. Freedom thumps Grickrod with a low kick. Freedom throws a half hearted mid kick. A slapping leg kick lands for Freedom.
A head kick misses from Freedom. No luck for Grickrod with that takedown attempt. Chip Freedom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paulsen Grickrod. Freedom connects with a single shot there. Grickrod's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Grickrod crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Freedom - the referee stops the clock and Grickrod gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Freedom. Grickrod manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. A big right from Grickrod misses. Grickrod thows a left - swing and a miss! Freedom throws a low kick but Grickrod avoids it. Grickrod paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Freedom misses with a head kick.
Grickrod takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
A looping hook to the body misses from Grickrod. Freedom does a little dance to reset his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Freedom drops his hands momentarily and Grickrod takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Freedom lands with a kick to the temple. Grickrod shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Grickrod drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Freedom is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Grickrod off and has taken his back! Freedom lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. I would not like to be Grickrod right now.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Grickrod comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Freedom takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Grickrod thows a body shot but no joy. Grickrod has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Freedom. Grickrod jabbing away but nothing is landing. Grickrod throws a shot to the body.

A head kick from Freedom lands but Grickrod takes it in his stride. Grickrod has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. No joy there for Grickrod, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Grickrod takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Grickrod on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Freedom. Freedom obviously looking to wear him down.
Grickrod checks the leg kick. Freedom throws a big shot that misses. A looping hook to the body misses from Freedom. Grickrod does a little dance to reset his feet. Grickrod drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Freedom looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Grickrod thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Freedom is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Summer shoots in for a takedown but Silva shows good takedown defense. No joy there for Summer, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reed throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Torres misses with a straight left. Torres lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Torres fails with an attempt to clinch.
Reed uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Torres. Reed stuns Torres with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Torres scores with a sloppy right hand. Reed should have avoided that one. Reed moves forwards but Torres connects with a nice, crisp jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Reed shoots in and bounces Torres off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Torres keeping moving, preventing Reed from controlling successfully. Reed drops back, looking for a kneebar! Torres looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Torres looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Torres!

Torres stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Torres tries to clinch up and Reed counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Torres thinking. Reed swats away the attempt to clinch by Torres.

Nice work there by Torres and Reed has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Torres moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Reed working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stanislov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Stanislov wants it to stay on the feet. Stanislov lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Stanislov throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Maddox throws a chopping leg kick but Stanislov manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Stanislov circles away from the clinch attempt.

Maddox feints and as Stanislov raises his hands in defense, Maddox changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Maddox scoring with punches to the head and body. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Stanislov looking for a sweep. Not yet Stanislov, not yet. Stanislov working a defensive guard here.
Maddox thows a big elbow that misses. Maddox is looking to advance position but Stanislov has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Maddox wants to control but Stanislov is having none of it.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Maddox tries to get back to half guard but can't. Stanislov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Maddox is looking to escape. Maddox is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maddox might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Stanislov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Stanislov wants to control the pace but Maddox is squirming around nicely. Stanislov looking to control and managing it successfully. Maddox is in all sorts of trouble here.

That was a close second round but I would say that Brian Maddox will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

It looks like Gerald Lynch has been cut. Biffman throws a hook to the side of Lynch's head but Lynch sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Lynch misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Biffman throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Lynch takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
