With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Herman Cheung! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jae Woon Ki! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ki misses with a jab, cross combination.
Good shot there by Cheung. Nice shot by Ki. Cheung feints and then cracks Ki's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Ki down. Ki pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Cheung back to the cage. Ki follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. It looks like Herman Cheung has been cut. Cheung throws a nice inside leg kick. Cheung closes the distance looking to clinch and Ki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Cheung throws a push kick but Ki slaps the foot to one side. Ki looks to land a combination. Cheung sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Cheung chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Sloppy strikes from Ki. Those never looked like landing. Ki rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Cheung moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Cheung misses with a hook. Cheung throws a leg kick that is checked and Ki counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ki. Cheung keeping full guard, as Ki tries to pass. Cheung is trying to control the position but Ki postures up. Cheung looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Ki wants to get up but he can't break Cheung's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Cheung is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Ki frees his head nicely. Oh but Cheung has switched to an armbar! Ki is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Green Bastard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Desmond Galli! The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Elvis Blanc and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Galli goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Desmond Galli seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bastard tries for a takedown but Galli sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Galli lands a really nice looking cross but Bastard seems unphased.
Bastard shoots in but no luck this time. Galli ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Galli scores with a shot to the body.
Galli connects with a right hand. Bastard shakes it off. Bastard fails with the takedown and Galli cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Green Bastard. That's going to take a lot out of him. Bastard takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Good shot there by Galli. Bastard with a poor takedown and Bastard takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Galli getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Bastard is rocked! Galli shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Bastard takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Galli sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Bastard bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

Chegwin looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Chegwin scores with a hook. Palhares cracks Chegwin with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Chegwin's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Palhares connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Chegwin scrambles back to his feet. Chegwin tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Palhares was well out of range. Poor timing from Chegwin. Palhares connects with a looping right hand.

Palhares bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Chegwin ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Good leg kick by Palhares. Chegwin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Palhares.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chegwin uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Palhares. Palhares lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Keith Chegwin has been cut. A solid leg kick lands there for Palhares.
A shot to the liver by Palhares. Beautiful body shot. Palhares fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Chegwin. Chegwin walks into a jab. Nice body kick from Palhares. Palhares throws a body punch but Chegwin moves out of range. The fighters circle momentarily. Palhares darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Palhares misses with a takedown attempt and Chegwin counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. A little nod from Chegwin there as he acknowledges the shot. Palhares falls off balance throwing a combination
and Palhares takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Palhares misses with a body punch
and Chegwin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Palhares scores with a one two! Chegwin had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Palhares fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Chegwin has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Chegwin has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Palhares finds it's way round the side to connect with Chegwin's head. Palhares connects with a solid leg kick. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

and Chegwin counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Palhares has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Palhares tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Chegwin manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Palhares is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. A decent looking body kick lands there for Palhares.

Palhares wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Chegwin misses with a left hand and Palhares counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Palhares scores with a jab to the jaw. A punch lands to the side of Palhares 's head but he takes it in his stride. Palhares lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Palhares misses with a jab to the body

He thinks about going to the ground but Palhares looks back up at him and smiles so Chegwin waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
