Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Smash Adams! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Laszlo! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Laszlo blocks a head kick by Adams.
Adams throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Laszlo counters with a nice double leg into side control. Adams won't be happy with that. Adams dodges the ground and pound from Laszlo. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Laszlo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Adams, who protects the arm well. Laszlo goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Adams rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Laszlo's guard! Nice work there by Adams! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aladeen throws a hook but Alawi blocks it. Alawi is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Alawi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Aladeen is defended easily by Alawi. Alawi displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Aladeen. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Aladeen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Alawi, pushing him back against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Alawi.

O Doherty moves out of range of the strikes. O Doherty swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Rivers ducks down and throws a hook to the body but O Doherty moves away.
