Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Maxim Cazacu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thomas Kerry!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cazacu misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kerry.

Kerry closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Cazacu's guard.
Kerry is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Cazacu is trying to control the position but Kerry postures up.

Cazacu looking for a guillotine here but Kerry defends easily.
Kerry really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cazacu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kerry lands a couple of decent looking shots.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kerry manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cazacu manages to get himself to full guard.

Kerry avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Cazacu is looking to stand back up but Kerry counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Cazacu.

Cazacu wants to control but Kerry is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Kerry lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Kerry perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Kerry stands up over Cazacu, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Kerry not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Kerry is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Thomas Kerry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Cazacu wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kerry manages to pass to side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cazacu tries to kick Kerry off but Kerry keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Cazacu moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kerry lands a couple of elbows.
Cazacu tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Thomas Kerry has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kerry stays in close to Cazacu's body and controls the position.

Cazacu working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kerry doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kerry manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

I would just about give that final round to Thomas Kerry.
Well Kerry has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

No joy there for Hole, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Cornouhov half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Hole has Cornouhov up against the cage in a clinch.
Hole looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Hole pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Cornouhov wants to break the clinch but can't.

and Cornouhov counters with a double leg. Hole bangs his head on the mat and seems to be on queer street here... Cornouhov follows up with punches and the ref steps in to end the fight! It was the slam that caused all the problems.

Our winner, Gherman Cornouhov, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.

Tamura shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Morrison manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Tamura throws an elbow that misses. Morrison uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tamura's guard. Nice move by Morrison!


Morrison decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Tamura connects with a good right hand that stumbles Morrison. Morrison circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Morrison drives through with a takedown into Tamura's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
