The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Nice takedown defense from Makarov. No joy for Schotel on that attempt. Schotel shoots in for a takedown but Makarov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Schotel doesn't succeed with the takedown#TD# and Makarov counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Schotel!
