The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yonoo tries to clinch there but Matsumato circles away.

Matsumato closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Yonoo to the mat! Yonoo manages to get full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Matsumato controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Valuev kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Mala Dama - Kabat. Nikolai Valuev had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 266.2lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Chill Romero is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Romero feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Valuev sprawling to the canvas! Valuev rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Romero finish him?!
Oh Valuev is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Romero steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Valuev is out on his feet! Romero sets himself and nearly takes Valuev's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!
