The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oliveira has managed to clinch.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A cross from Oliveira lands. Oliveira definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Juarez has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Wagner finds it's way round the side to connect with Juarez's head. Juarez walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Juarez gets cracked there but stands up to it.

and Wagner rattles Juarez with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Juarez tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Wagner dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Juarez stiff and motionless on the mat!

De Lima tries to sprawl but Griffin drives through with a takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Griffin tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Griffin passes to full mount! Griffin controlling the position easily from mount. De Lima gets back to half guard. Griffin is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, De Lima has managed to free his arm - good work. Griffin escapes and gets back to his feet.

Griffin's coach down at Gumburcules Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Griffin's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. De Lima looking to slow down the pace here. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. De Lima swings wildly with an uppercut but Griffin uses good head movement to avoid it.

I was talking to De Lima's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. De Lima is pushing Griffin up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Griffin working aggressively here.

Michel Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Santos bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Belmiro's head backwards. Stokes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Mendes connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Mendes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Stokes circles away quickly and effectively. Stokes now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Mendes stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Stokes. Paulo Mendes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mendes has his takedown stuffed enabling Stokes to counter with a crisp jab. Mendes shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Stokes counters with a nice body shot. Mendes misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paulo Mendes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stokes takes the fight into the clinch.

Mendes scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Stokes finish him?! Oh Mendes is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Mendes is breathing heavily. Stokes finds Mendes's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Mendes flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Stokes lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Mendes will be OK.
